i am not going to lie u have the potential to be the best IC because i accually try to go for the kill either than being fancy with ur grabs. Keep that in ming u have a good style don't change it
Chaingrab to spike was a novelty when I started performing it. Meta Knight for example should be thrown DOWN for an easier chain (fthrow does more damage). And all of the chaingrabbing in this video is too slow. I started doing it faster when people started rotating the controller stick to break out. And even though I know more chaingrabs now and how to desynch the Ice Climbers, I don't play them anymore. Meta Knight is simply too good so I gave up on Ice Climbers and play Meta Knight only now.
You have to learn the timing. Forward throws end in a climber swinging his/her hammer. I watch for just the right moment before the climber swings his hammer, and regrab. Snake's difficulty to chainthrow is medium so if you have learned to CT well it should always work. The hardest char to forward chainthrow is MK, followed by puff, child chars (ness, TL etc) and ganon, so those are great practice. BTW, expect a bigger throw delay against heavies (Samus, Snake, D3...). Hope this helps
every time i try to do an alternating chain grab i can usually do it from popo to nana, but when i go from nana to popo, he just runs past the enemy and grabs at nothing, can someone tell me what i am doing wrong?
The throw command must always be done so the character that's not grabbing doesn't run.
For your partner to regrab, he/she only has to walk forward and do a standing grab.
For your main character to regrab, you have to wait for the throw and do a dash grab.
This is the only chaingrab I've seen working against every character, and it's the easiest to do. The only margin of error is your main character tripping.
I'm TKD by the way. Let me know if I was helpful. Thx for giving IC a try!
