I live in Canada, and my school serves everything from scratch except for hamburgers and french fries. And I thought they were bad! Everything else we make (mashed potatoes, soups, spaghetti, quesadillas, baked goods, and tons of other things) are from scratch. It's sad how so many people think that it's cheaper to buy fast food than to cook at home. My family lives on welfare and every night we eat a bit of meat, boiled potatoes, and vegetables. We're happy just to have food.
