the 2000 ditech was the most sad period for aprilia... those sr were really crappy.. i had one.. but now i got a new SR 4 gen and it flies! aprilia is one of the best brand to buy
@warezvz well, i got no exacly the ditech, the same engine but it was carburator, every sr with that engine after... 15-20.000km have crankshaft problem and you had to replace it, mine was the worst because the idiot who owned it before me reduced it like a wreck, the new ditech, (piaggio engine) is much better, less fuel consumption more performance, the morini (2000) edition was a bit of a mess
@warezvz if you say so, mine had those problems mine it has piaggio engine, and it's very powerful, it goes faster than the old engine and uses less fuel, then a friend of mine has a piaggio NRG NTT with over 55k km on it and still runs...
@Blade4613 i sold mine years ago, mine used round 2.1-2.4 liter per 100km and toped out round about 104 by the gps. And i was aible to overtake evry piaggio engine on the street. On the ditech the great problem is the compressor that sticks and dosnt work at maximum eficincy if the propper oil isnt used also you have to clean the injectors evry 10000km.

@Blade4613 ditech was the best engine ever, just people didnt maintain it properly and the servicing guys didnt really know often what they do.

@Blade4613 mine ditech got 44000km and no replacement just the piston rings at 28000
and the thing is that the piaggio pure jet engine is much more weeker in power the ditech has more top speed and more power and acceleration.
