I know. The use of "Gorilla" was intentional. It was a silly and comedic approach on a video response to Mark's DYI video, which was also explained and spelled in the video. I explained the "guerrilla, not gorilla" thing right at the beginning of the video.
It was not intended to entertain you. It was intended to demonstrate green screen utilizing techniques explained by another You Tube user, Mark Apsolon. It was also my second attempt at chroma key. I'm sorry I failed to amuse you.
ummm i'm not criticizing but you might wana do something about the green outline of your body. No offence cause im just learning how to green screen but gj other than that
No offense taken in any way. This was my actual 2nd attempt at green screen, and to be honest a couple of my newer videos still aren't great. I tried out blue screen, but was a failure. The green outline and halo is caused by bad lighting or shadows. It is an ever evolving skill or talent to achieve great green screen, but it's a whole lot of fun! Thanks for commenting!
Hello,I want to do digital stills, families atthe beach, family portraits in the studio without leaving my home.I was told by another photographer friend to use a gray screen, I have noticed some of the color, gray bleeds around the edges, hair, and shadows on my face get dropped and I have to manually restore the lost detail. Would green or blue or gray be most effective for digital photography also.
I am not sure about grey for stills, however, I can say this. If you are wanting to put background images or black out the area behind your subject, then green screen is fantastic. Just remember, lighting is everything. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Cheers.
I just put a new video up last night called "My Clone & Me". Currently, my green screen is too small for action shots... not to mention my space. As for the green cast. If you get the lighting right, then you can use editing tools to delete the green and feather it to get rid of any jagged edges. Once you do that, then use a blur or spill tool to take away any green halo effect. This will only work if you have even lighting and no shadows.
Yes! I was using iMovie until I learned how to use Final Cut Express. Would you like me to do an instructional video on how to do chroma key in iMovie? If you check out the "My Son - Updated" video on my channel, it will show you a better rendition of the green screen. I'm still trying to get the lighting right, but it's improving!
All the background images and movie I actually took from the window of an Airplane on the way from Dallas to San Francisco. The video at the end is a 4 minute video of us landing. I still haven't figured out how to get the green glow around my shoulders out yet. I still have a lot to learn!
you need to feather the edges a little

4 500 watt light is bloody overkill for a small setup. use daylight energy savers. the color temp will help with the keyin too.

It is "guerrilla" not "gorilla" tactics. Gorillas are primates and guerrilla is a term to describe unconventional methods to defeat an enemy.
