Wow. This concept is pretty cool. I think I'll try it for my St. Pete-Bali trip! How much editing do you do! Ha. Lot's I'm sure. Some places were pretty easy to identify, but others were! Would have been great!.
Nice idea, but would have been much more enjoyable to know where you were at each shot, or at the very least see a map of the route you took. nice nonetheless.
lol nah but still, this guy was complaining about the cost of gas, and thats based on 20 miles per gallon which is almost a worse case scenerio type situation, it would probably cost half that.
This is a cheap way to see a lot though if you have the time.
...too bad 80% of your footage was mostly the Western United States. Though you did finally reach NC at the end. But shit man, most of the clip looked like a weekend excursion of the West.
@champloo9 Good thing most of it was in the west. The east is the past, the east is stale. The future lies in the west. The innovation, the natural beauty, economic and cultural growth? That's only in the west.
lol... Why are you calling me dumb? My message about the video being fake was a joke, obviously. And my other message about south/central america is true. You don't drive through south or central america to get to seattle from NC. Maybe you drive through South or Central US during that time, but south america is a continent. Seems to me like you're the dumb one.
lol... Yea, i said it as a joke cuz everyone likes to watch vids like this and make dumb comments like "OMG IT'S FAKE!".. lol. Now look at dumbass "InfernoplexTom" who commented. He really thinks that we believe they traveled 4600 miles in two minutes. So he leaves a comment and thinks he taught us something. It's comical.. really... lol.
Fantastic. A coworker sent me a link to your commoncraft videos, and now I'm beginning to browse you other work. This is an amazing piece with a pitch perfect song choice. What a mood! I love the angle switches/passes. The incidental moments captured therein, I think, are what our memories take from such long trips. We don't remember every minute and mile, but we do remember amazing rainbows and diving birds. On to your next video...

Imagine how much gas for the whole trip cost.
I don't envy you.
chyidean 3 years ago
4000 miles divided by 20 miles per gallon = 200 gallons, 200 gallons .
200 gallons x $3 a gallon = $600.
600 divided by 2 for the 2 people
300 bucks each, pretty cheap really.
300 divided by 4000 = 0.075
less than 8 cents per person per miles is a pretty good deal if you ask me.

4600 miles in 2.2 minutes mean they you have to be going about 35 miles per second. an impossible speed on earth...
