    And it plays. But still

    No sound did I do

    Something wrong ?

  • Hy .... i tried this on my avic f710bt and is working, is exactly as in the video ....thank's man !!!! My car has a manual gearbox and i could not acces the setings and to watch video even when the car was in parking....thank's a lot !!!!

  • Just did this on my avic-x9115bt....same process if anyone wants to know

  • anyone know if this will work on the avic-x9115bt??? im unable to find a write up...thanks

  • dont just YAAAAAAANK it out

  • Great, I did the bypass and it worked great. One thing though, I installed the pioneer avic-X910BT to a 07 Ford F150, my question if anyone knows is i have a pink wire that is for the GPS, it should let you know about how long it should take you to get to a certain place, where does this wire go connected to and is it really necessary? Thank you.

  • @mukio900 It is the Vehicle Speed Sense Wire. It isn't necessary, but it does help the GPS track you better and also gives you more accurate ETA,On-Screen Speeds, etc.

  • Thank you for making this video.

The unit came with the mute wire already switched (bought it used)

I did NOT notice any parking brake wire though.

  • soundman thanks i have been looking all over for this u made it simple

  • "your not sposed to do that but if you do want to do that thats how you do that" LOL

  • Hi soundmancar, english is not my first language and i'mnot sure to understand the end of the steps, what do I have to do after changing the yellow/black wire ? I have to do some connection between tje yellow/balck and the green one ? or just let them like this ?

  • @Neuvmac1 Hook the yellow/black (Mute) Wire to the green (Parking Brake) wire, and then hook it up to the black (ground) wire. So you're basically grounding all three wires.

  • just bought one of these.. thanks for this video

  • hi soundman do you know how to update the win ce image on the stereo i have the avic f700bt. thanks for you help!!!

  • I installed it and it works, but my parking break light and dinger keeps going off, I checked the yellow and black wire its in right...I can drive and watch the movies but the parking break light comes on....I have a 2008 chevy 2500 4x4 crew cab any suggestions?

  • i tryied this and its detecting that the car is moving b/c of the navigation. i have a f900bt. the black wire and and the red/white wire should also be grounded. so i put them all together any advise

  • i think i got it, i believe the the mute wire wasn't inserted properly

  • I'm trying out the by pass got the yellow mute cable out, but i can't seem to put it in where it's telling me to it won't go in or click the nibble is on the top and if i try to push it in the cable will just bend, any suggestions

  • @demondurand nevermind i got it

  • Hi Doug thanks for the video. It works great. I am just wondering what exactly it does to make it work. Is this something pioneer did on purpose? Or do you not even know why it works? Thanks

  • does this void the warrenty??

  • hello will this hack void warrenty???

  • I just installed the avic-x910bt and everything works great. I did the bypass and that works also. However when trying to play my ipod, the screen is showing that it is playing but there is no sound. I set the AV1 settings according to the manual but still no sound. Any advice?

  • @HossBags2 Did you buy the pioneer iPod cable specifically for the 910bt?

  • yes.........I bought the CD-IU230V......I only hooked up the iPod connector......I did not connect the RCA cables....do the RCA cables connect to the back of the radio. Im wondering if this is the problem

  • @HossBags2

i have the exact same problem on mine i dont know what to do would anyone help me out?

  • Nice video. I have done the hack, and it seems to work on my AVIC-X710BT. It allows me to watch video and use the previously blacked out settings while I am moving very slow or stopped.... BUT...

As soon as I drive with any speed, a warning appears to say "The system has detected a fault in your parking brake connection" and then video is disabled.

I assume this is because the system can tell im moving (via GPS), and overrules the hack.

    Suggestions?? HELP?? THANKS!

  • it sounds like the yellow/black wire isn't making contact to the empty pin that it moved to.

  • @bc2planker same problem as you !

  • hey, how am I supposed to ground the yellow, green and black? should I just connect all of the ends together?

  • thanks for clearing that up for me Soundman..

  • Hey soundman..I just recently purchased a avic f700bt, and just learned from your video this bypass will work.. Thats awsome. But my question I want to ask you if you know of any bypasses or software that will enable the F700 to watch dvds or other video files while driving. Because I think the F700 wont let you watch dvds.

    Thanks,

    Gavin

  • Nope. The f700 doesn't have a DVD drive it's only a cd drive. You can play video from an iPod though

  • wygladasz jak baypas cwelu

  • Does this work on the AVIC-x910BT?

  • @ddziewa yes

  • nice and simple. Thanks

when you look at the way pioneer ships the wire bundle its almost like there directing that yw wire towards the bypass hole. before it suddenly tucks under all the other wires and terminates at its location.

  • i tied all these sumbitchin wires together. the navi works. BUT why the hell doesnt my USB work... the fockin light on my mem. stick lights up but the unit dont recognize the motherfucker.

    do you have any idea?

  • hey can i tap this wire into the green one and that's it, or it necesarily has to be grounded all the way by the ebrake??? thanks, i tried tapping it and it did not work

  • hey, can i tap the yellow one to the green one??? i did this and its not working, or do i necessarily i have to do it by the ebrake?? thanks

  • you have to move the yellow wire to the location showed on this vid. then tie the yellow and green together and ground them to the black "ground" wire... you dont have to touch the cars parking brake wire.

  • I tried this on my avic f90bt and once i get above 10 mph a message appears saying that the parking brake is wired wrong.

  • wish i coulda found this when i got my 900 LOL, but anyway ive had the bypass on it and while i hardly ever watch videos on it this bypass is a lifesaver for GSP while moving..... the only thing is that mine works, but i dotn have the main (black) ground wire grounded to anything metal, ive heard from different sources that its fine, and others that itll mess something up, but its been fine so i left it alone......

  • just got an avic-x910bt. is it better to use a relay to bypass rather than the method here? also, do i hook up the speed sensing wire?

  • so when i ground the yellow cable (mute) to the black should i cut the tip of the yellow cable and just ground it into the black....

  • Hey should i cut the mute wire tip?? to ground with the black cable??

  • Hello. I just bought a used F900bt with no rca harness. I grounded just the parking wire and everything works fine until the truck is in motion then the system keeps rebooting. Is it because of the other harness that it needs. The system doesnt reboot with the gps antenna unpluged.

  • Will This work for the AVIC-Z110BT

  • i'm sure it's different for the Z110, but we'll let you know as soon as we discover the dypass

  • and this WILL work for the avic-x710bt

  • yes it will

  • so you take the mute, the parking break and the ground wire all together and ground them all correct

  • yes. make sure you move that mute wire to the right spot.

  • Lzone. you definetly should move the mute wire to that empty pin. you're not grounding the mute wire your moving it then grounding it. We do this at the shop i work at too. Thanks soundman for the vid.

  • bullshitt ! !! !! i have an f900bt also you just need to ground the green e-brake wire and it works,, the video wile driving, the entering of adresses everyting, the mute wire is optional if you should have external devices that requirs a mute fungtion you have to hook that cable up to that device, otherwise you don't need it so don't ground it, just cut it off
