This song is for all of us. I like Adam's nod toward the end. U2 are always seen as Bono and Edge, and Adam and Larry, but Adam's nod was a true emotional wink that he knows Paul's loss. It's nice. Kite is a beautiful song.

Dying. Who can understand what it is, why it happens and all the other pain and changed lives that come with it. This song is brilliant at somehow so softly and gently opening up our minds to be willing to at least thing about it. It takes some of the fear out of it and reassures us of the beauty of everlasting life. Brillant again.

This is what makes U2 a great band-they get us, and we get them. My dad was dying of cancer around the same time as Bono'sd Dad, and this song said it perfectly. I saw U2 in Providence 10/31/01, and Bono was crying as he sang this song ( I was in the 2nd row)-and so was I. I saw the shadow in my Da's eyes-but I knew it was not goodbye. This song reminds me of the night I said goodbye tio him-he was gone 2 days later. Great song, great poets, great band.

Very well said, my friend. I have had similar circumstances and this song means very much to me. I have seen U2 live many times but it was before Kite.....however, I will never forget the raw emotion I saw in SBS and Running to Stand Still in particular
