I am Canadian and I have met so many American travelers here and they are for the most part rather nice (have only seen one instance where an American was not being the nicest of people and it was because he couldn't use his credit card at a Tim Hortons lol) I haven't really ventured to far south but any time I cross the boarder I am treated like I would be at home.

Where would the world (or Canada) be without the USA? I agree with you, the United States should withdraw from NATO immediately. Then you and the other ingrate Europeans would be forced to pay for your own defence (and we in the States could afford universal healthcare as you have.) The United States guarantees the stability and prosperity the world has. Canada should be part of the United States, instead of a second rate world player, so that the U.S. could better utilise Canada's resources to this end. There never should have been two separate countries. We have the same culture. Canada should become part of the United States in the interest of a better world.
