The only problem I have with Burning Crusade is Hellfire Peninsula. Easily the most boring zone in the entire game, and you're practically forced to quest there.

This will not be the final expansion, for Blizzard has planned Titan in 2013 (and that's in blizzard time), and even then they will continue supporting World of Warcraft due to the sheer amount of 'verse fans.

And all of the WoW killers have been proven insuccessful yet, what's with being outsold and all that.

@aminatep well that i didnt know but still it is clear the popularity is falling fast. before Cataclysm was released, there were approximately 12,000,000 subscribers. 4 months later, 600,000 of them have disappeared.

Even if Blizzard will continue to run WoW, it is bound to fall sooner or later. I mean its not going to end up with people showing off their level 240 Argonian Thief, are they? (yes i did take that race from Elder Scrolls as an example) one of these days a new MMO will take over.

@MrChiddyProductions But the point is that Cataclysm is definitely not the last addon there is. Sure Azeroth is pretty much fully explored.

But Blizzard promises us actual titans - we have not yet seen any titans. Blizzard also promises us more outer worlds, war with the Old Gods, and the final demise of Sargeras from our hands - which will perhaps be the final event of World of Warcraft. Especially seeing as Sargeras has strenght of a thousand dragons, whereas Deathwing is just one dragon.

I remember a time when... there was more to do than laps in SW/Org. raids were an accomplishment. heroics weren't regulars with a different name. not all gameplay was through a queue. PvP didn't mean Arena grind. being exalted meant something. zone designs were real works of art. the soundtrack was a real class-A masterpiece. phasing wasn't the only way to convey lore. flashy (yet still outdated) animations were not the only reason the game looked awesome. ...That time sure wasn't Cataclysm.

@WWELegacyRKO Well, let's see. Sargeras was slain, but he's a corrupted titan, so he's virtually immortal. His body can be destroyed, of course, but his banished soul still gather forces to reborn.

So, it could really happen, if it wasn't the important fact that he's IMMORTAL, so, he would be an impossible dungeon boss, and would end up the lore (Broxigar the Red Axe being the only mortal to battle Sargeras and even wound him). It's most likely a Reborn of the World expansion for the next one.

@FelipeHermod I think it's way too early to end WoW,not now.We have lot many old enemies to fight with.And I prefer Sargeras a lot later and not now.Azshara will be a big part in the next expansion,and Blizzard confirmed.And if you played Cataclysm you see that Nefarian returned as an undead dragon.I rather prefer the storyline to go back to Outlands and the main thing is - Illidan is risen from the dead with the help of Azshara.Illidan stronger than ever before - back for revenge!

You see that's what Blizz does. They bring back old encounters and make them easier...

I liked BC so much I capped one of my characters at lvl 70 by stopping my xp. There are actually a surprising amount of lvl 70s. We even have BG queues for AV. We also have our own custom channel on our server. It's awesome :)

@FeverSwampHL It's not just you. You speak the truth, TBC was the expansion that set the standards so high and the following ones could not match it. Visually, it was more magical, whereas Wotlk used realism to make people favor the newly rendered graphics, but graphics weren't what caught our eye the first time. Maybe it was the golden trees of Eversong, or the giant purple mushrooms and crystal lakes in Zangarmarsh, or the floating waterfalls in Nagrand, no, maybe the giant planets in the sky?

Aside from a few sqabbles I have with some aspects (Cacaphonous remix of classic intro hurts) and stagnation in some movements, Cataclysm's theme shines as brightly as its predecessors as an exemplar of Heroic Soundtracks.

this music and eversong woods just made this the best thing ever when it was all new. And that feeling never came back for WotLK, and I've seen the starting zones in Cataclysm, and while they are disproportionately epic for level 1-10 starting zones, I still say that this music, followed by being in Eversong while listening to Eversong music as well as Silvermoon quite frankly, where some of the best experiences I had with WoW. And I never played a Blood Elf. I just had my alts migrate there.
