Were those ones you brought from outside? I bough a bottle inside the venue which didnt have the top. Maybe they thought we'd all throw the caps? Funny bunch!
From outside, yes. But there were people behind us (when we were within throwing distance of the stage during the support - stupidly went to the loo before REM and ended up much further back!) who had beer bottles made of thick plastic that would have caused a lot more damage if thrown! Oh well, never mind.
Yeah, it is hot in there. Whenever I go there I make sure I have a bottle of water to last throughout the night.
It helps.
As do the brief spells of fresh air that get pumped in every 30 mins or so. You get a sense, a hint of what its like to breath, and they quickly snatch it back!
They took our bottles off us (because we might throw them at the band apparently!) so we had pint glasses of water which we drank very early as it was hard to bop around while holding those! Still, I had a great time anyway.
This was amazing! I've been to 7 other shows this year across Europe but selist-wise this was the best. Let's hope for Southampton tonight! Thanks for sharing!!!
It was a terrific gig. I had been waiting 14 or so years to see them live, and they didn't disappoint. Of course, Pilgrimage was great to see, but my highlight was Country Feedback.

Wish they played this song at Manchester, it's my favourite!

I was there! I wasn't too familiar with the song at the time, having only recently bought Murmur, but I enjoyed every note off the Rickenbacker.

That night fell like a trip to a tropical island, so toasty! Well-captured kappak6!
I found Michael very relaxed that night, somehow matured...
