@souljaruman1 I have an Evo X and I think the 2008 redesign is much uglier than the 2004-2007 versions imo. Although my favorite is 2004 STi. I want to buy one of those so I can have both.
I think the 4door is better looking than the 5, but come on it really isn't all that bad. If I wanted a car just for looks, then I wouldn't want an STI. STIs are for people that like driving.

It has been said that the Evos are more rigid, and feedbacky?(is that a word?), with non adjustable steering wheel and a stiff driving position. While the STI leans more towards luxury and comfort while still having the impressive powerplant and computing under the hood. Both cars are impressive machines nonetheless. On another note, I still prefer older generation styling of both cars :)

between the new evo and sti, i like the sti looks more. personal opinion. But the older versions of the sti and evo are much more appealing to what the car should be. I applaud subaru for not being gimicky in its new car though, something mitsubishi has resorted to. But the old cars were better and we should ge back to that.

Yeah the evo is an amazing car, and the base model is only $15,000 more than the sti.
Personally I am about to purchase an 09 sti becuse for what it does the Evo is far to highly priced. for the sake of a $600 remap and a rear sway bar you will sh*t all over an evo in an sti and still be 14k better off.
fungal growth, WHAT are you talking about? base STI: 34995, EVO GSR: 33550. The GSR is faster to 60, brakes short from 60mph, and has faster times than the STI, and is cheaper, NOT 15K more expensive. Plus the MR is faster than the GSR, but the base GSR which is faser is not 15 K more. Have fun with your STI; but a rear sway bar doesn't make up enough difference in performance OR looks.

Wrong! the STI has a shorter stopping 110 ft compared to 120 for the EVO., and all the numbers I have seen the STI's 0-60 time is 4.7 secs EVO X GSR 5.2, and the MR a little slower than that. I have heard though that the 2010 MR's have a better flash for the SST tranny and are running mid 4's now to 60. The only real advantage the EVO has is on the track! But the STI has not been made to be a pure track car. It was redesigned to be a better rally car and gravel, and rough roads.
Ugly women are usually a lot more rugged and better in bed. In the same way, you can be less self conscious by being in an ugly car, by having an ugly gf you never have to try to prove anything. Otherwise people will just say "hey who's that douchebag with the really hot gf". I think people who drive Lamborghinis get viewed much in the same way. But usually because they are old and fat. The Peter Stephens WRX front end was the best one.
These "testers" just don't -get it- Not only is the STi a AWD performance car, it's also a very livable daily driver...Add a couple thousand in aftermarket tweeks and you have yourself a Porsche killer!

True... The best auto show is Top Gear but they have BBC backing. Low budget shows like this one, FLD, Inside Line put out some awesome shows! The quality I would say is on par with TG... only these guys can't afford to get a Veyron on every other show or fund a trip to the North Pole.
However, I'm not a big fan of Matt's presentation style... Maybe it was just the Garage 419 format... I dunno.
they liked it. They just found it homely. Like most people, and what they said, Subby's have rarely been what you would call attractive. Now there are fanboys that won't consider anything else and that is fine. But in reality you like what you like. It personally has grown on me, but when this version debuted, i found it repulsive.........to look at!

u guys did reviews on some performance based cars such as z's, audi a4, and evo. But all those had reviews on practicality on real roads not tracks. this review was only track based.
We prefer street reviews, but this is certainly not our first track based review. (See our hot hatchback pieces from last year) Track time does still provide the chance to discuss power & handling.
We have a series of track based reviews coming up, as we had access to multiple cars in a short period of time at a recent track event.
This will allow us to offer more frequent content, as many have requested. However, we will always offer street drive reviews as that is our #1 interest & focus.
I'd rather have more frequent videos than sticking only to road reviews. Give us whatever you can, but your street reviews are some of the best around.

josefmd: google the following phrases: "Edmunds Evolution MR vs. Gsr on the track"- lists 60-0 as 107 feet; shorter than the STI. Road and Track has the MR as you said running 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, and the GSR is at 4.8-5.2, so both GSR and MR are faster to 60 than the STI. as for rally on gravel, dirt and snow, google: "ACP North American Rally championship"; ACP in a Mitsubihsi EVO X won the 2009 rally championship; it is tested and proven. Both STI and EVO are great but the reviewers like EVO

Yeah the evo is an amazing car, and the base model is only $15,000 more than the sti.
Personally I am about to purchase an 09 sti becuse for what it does the Evo is far to highly priced. for the sake of a $600 remap and a rear sway bar you will sh*t all over an evo in an sti and still be 14k better off.

fungal growth, WHAT are you talking about? base STI: 34995, EVO GSR: 33550. The GSR is faster to 60, brakes short from 60mph, and has faster times than the STI, and is cheaper, NOT 15K more expensive. Plus the MR is faster than the GSR, but the base GSR which is faser is not 15 K more. Have fun with your STI; but a rear sway bar doesn't make up enough difference in performance OR looks.

Another review confiming why I bought a 2010 EVO MR Touring.
Don't beleive me? Click on EverydayDriver's own review of the EVO X: They rated it higher than the STI, as the EVO X base version GSR, let alone the MR, is faster on a lap, faster to 60, breaks shorter, looks better, and is more fun. No disrespect to the STI, but the EVO X looks like a performer, performs better, and wil never be mistaken for a Mazda family wagon.

Wrong! the STI has a shorter stopping 110 ft compared to 120 for the EVO., and all the numbers I have seen the STI's 0-60 time is 4.7 secs EVO X GSR 5.2, and the MR a little slower than that. I have heard though that the 2010 MR's have a better flash for the SST tranny and are running mid 4's now to 60. The only real advantage the EVO has is on the track! But the STI has not been made to be a pure track car. It was redesigned to be a better rally car and gravel, and rough roads.

Ugly women are usually a lot more rugged and better in bed. In the same way, you can be less self conscious by being in an ugly car, by having an ugly gf you never have to try to prove anything. Otherwise people will just say "hey who's that douchebag with the really hot gf". I think people who drive Lamborghinis get viewed much in the same way. But usually because they are old and fat. The Peter Stephens WRX front end was the best one.

But in person its pumped guards and agressive stance looks amazing. As a matter of fact in person i like the look of it alot more than the Evo X.

I would love to see an actually Evo X vs STI review, where you go from one car right into the other to point out there flaws at that moment. I think that would be cool, but thats just my opinion.

True... The best auto show is Top Gear but they have BBC backing. Low budget shows like this one, FLD, Inside Line put out some awesome shows! The quality I would say is on par with TG... only these guys can't afford to get a Veyron on every other show or fund a trip to the North Pole.
However, I'm not a big fan of Matt's presentation style... Maybe it was just the Garage 419 format... I dunno.

they liked it. They just found it homely. Like most people, and what they said, Subby's have rarely been what you would call attractive. Now there are fanboys that won't consider anything else and that is fine. But in reality you like what you like. It personally has grown on me, but when this version debuted, i found it repulsive.........to look at!

Our theme is finding and reviewing great cars real people can afford. We want people to own enthusiast cars, instead of boring appliances.
Sometimes we get access to these cars at track events for press. Because we encourage enthusiast driving, we want to share those reviews with you as well. The alternative would be no review at all in some cases.
With the one exception of showing an R8, can you be specific of how we are not sticking to our above theme?

u guys did reviews on some performance based cars such as z's, audi a4, and evo. But all those had reviews on practicality on real roads not tracks. this review was only track based.

We prefer street reviews, but this is certainly not our first track based review. (See our hot hatchback pieces from last year) Track time does still provide the chance to discuss power & handling.
We have a series of track based reviews coming up, as we had access to multiple cars in a short period of time at a recent track event.
This will allow us to offer more frequent content, as many have requested. However, we will always offer street drive reviews as that is our #1 interest & focus.
