I'm french, I can only compare old and new french version. I prefer old, because Homer voice became too stupid. French voice of flanders & smithers leave the show in season 10. And Mr Modo, voice of many important characters (Wiggum, Burns, Krusty, and others) died after 19 years, it's hard to hear someone else.
For me, best seasons for french cast : 8th and 9th.

@emperordarius I don't think you realize that 30% of English words come from the french language (that's about 15,000 words). In addition English is also made up of 30% of Latin language. To conclude french is a derives from a Latin language therefore with 60% (30% + 30% = 60%) that would make English a "gay" language too.

The is France French but for me Quebec french is better. Homer's quebec voice is realy more natural and Marge's cover actress already has the good voice.
I think this is the French voice actors for Canada, which is pretty damn close. The French voice actors for France don't resemble the English voice actors much.
