Yes, that's our band while we on our way to the Birmingham Jazz Festival 2008. We are from the Netherlands, so we had to cross the North Sea and this was for us the best solution. A few years ago there used to be a very fast ferry between our own country, but that one has gone. So we went through Belgiumand France.

This looked like a very good place to play this tune!

We are from the Netherlands. We had 7 performances at the Birmingham (UK) Jazz Festival that's why we came through Dover. That's why we played the tune.

Exactly, I was told that during WW2 souldiers in airplanes sang this song, when they flew back from the European continent to England and felt save when they saw Dover. They felt save because they were out of reach from the enemy during that time.
