Kawai MP5 Concert Grand patch

Which sound did you use? I also have an MP5 but my "Concert Grand" sounds quite washy :-(

I used the 'Concert Grand 01' setting.

I think I also applied some reverb.

Apologies for not replying to comments for a while, But thank you all, for the many kind words :-)

The MP-5 does not have internal speakers, so needs to be used with an amp, or monitors.

As far as I remember, I didn't adjust the EQ from it's default settings, and never had a problem with noisy keys.

Wonderful playing :) I just wanted to know, does it have speakers? or do you need a keyboard amp of some kind? I have a Yamaha dgx-530 which is a completely different kind of digital piano!

The usb connection, carries midi information only, and not audio.

You need to use the Line Out connectors on the MP5

Sadly there is no internal recording feature.

It would be great if there was a 2 track built in recorder, would be useful for sketching out ideas, without having to connect to an external device.

Mine sits right next to my computer, and is always connected, so it is not a problem for me.

can you give me advice on how you connected the mp5 to ur computer so u can use the internal sounds? i am using the usb cable, but i am going insane in the process of trying to figure it out.

There are a couple of good electric piano patches, but I don't use them much.

Maybe I will post a video to demo more patches, soon.

Everything is better in the mp-5! The piano en rhodes sounds are very good.

and there a few organ/hammond sounds who sounds amazing if you mix them with the effects. sorry for my bad English. I had the same problem as you have now. before I can't choose between the mp-5 and the Kurzweil PC1X. I have choose for the mp-5.

This was recorded from the line out of the MP-5, through an Edirol UR-80 audio interface, into the computer using Pinnacle Studio video program.
