Where I come from, that case is reversed. The airsofters are kind of assholes here. Of course there are exceptions on both sides, but thats just what you get with people who think they are all tough shit and want to be better than anyone else, so they make a fight over something that should barely even be compared. Both games have their advantages and disadvantages. Both can be painful, hyper-realistic, or hyper unreallistic. Yes there are magazine-fed paintball guns.

My friend who has finished Soldier Qualifications in the Canadian Forces trained on the C9 (Canadian M249) and he was told his burst should be no longer then "Mother fucker". Where you said Infantry School I am assuming you are in the US, which has their own training methods. Longer bursts = more heat and wear on your barrel = changing it sooner.

@saintrobbie375 That's not true with airsoft. It might be brand-dependant, but most gearboxes for supressive guns cannot handle short bursts and it leads to feed issues. Just fire full auto because your magazine capacity is huge and you won't overheat like a real gun.

This is a great weapon, but you have to be careful because sometimes it continues firing after you've released the trigger and you have to switch between "auto" and "sound activated" feed on the electronic box mag for maximum effectiveness.

Sustained fire is actually better for the gearbox. You got your electricity flowing nicely through all components, no starting or stopping of the motor. Semi fire is what kills gearboxes, not auto. You should go and learn something before posting stupid shit on yotube.

Oh, one more thing. The gearbox in m249's is much bigger and thicker than your average gearbox. It will hold for sustained auto fire with very heavy springs m130+
