  • GUYS ITS NOT MUTTON WHICH TAKES TIME TO COOK AND HAD TO B PRESSURE COOKED...CHICKEN GETS COOKED EASILY AND FASTER

  • Comment removed

  • I HATE This perrier commercial, they are antagonizing themselves, anyone else agrees?!

  • Might I suggest instead of pressure cooking.... just precook the chicken and set aside before making the paste.

  • Friday, Friday! Gettin down on fri--no, wait. Sorry, wrong video.

  • by just looking at the chicken its not well cooked inside you need to pressure cook it...

  • that looooook sooo good

  • Hey thnks for your suggestion... Appreciate..:) and also thnkful for your channel... i prepare all my food seeing your videos.... M enjoying it...

  • @vijaychandra3

You're very welcome...glad you are enjoying our show.

  • thnks... but can you suggest me how much time i have to marinate the chicken if i want to do tht?

    thnks in advance..

  • @vijaychandra3

Usually, 1-2 hours are sufficient however if you have the time, you can even marinate overnight (be sure you keep the chicken in the fridge while its marinating).

  • Reli like your recipe... but y are you not marinating the chicken...Is tht not needed???

  • @vijaychandra3

Its not needed in this recipe...a lot of other flavors are there to coat the chicken.

  • Hi, thanks for this recipe! When you say "chili powder", do you mean powdered red pepper, or the chili powder sold in US supermarkets. The supermarket chili powder has cumin in it and is used in "chili con carne" and other Mexican dishes. Just wondered. ...

  • @gabsylv

When we say "Red Chili Powder" we do mean powdered red chilies, not the spice mix used for making chili.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry Thank you

  • illest site on the planet...brownhustler.webs.com

  • ty ladies..will give this a try tonight..

  • Thank you!

  • Hi, I love your videos:-) Quick question, I have made this many times but I noticed that when the onions are ground, they taste bitter, any hints to offset this? Thank you!

    ~Uma

  • @silkorganza : Some times when the raw onions are pureed (in a blender/mixer) they do become bitter...here are a couple of ways to work around that - when blending raw onions use a food-processor and not a blender or saute the onionsjust a bit and then blend them...

    Hope that helps :)

  • I am going to give this recipe a go over the Christmas holidays when I have more time.

Thanks very much for posting this video :)

  • Indian Chicken curry,my fav food : )

  • You guys rock, I have tried 3 recipes from your channel and they turned out awesome. Thumbs up!!

  • Good old British dish.

  • Noting new in the recipe. I dont agree with style of cooking. Also who says you have to pressure cook in India. I mean from where did it come? Its takes the same time, to cook the chicken. other than if you mean is altitudes.

  • @watchmovies2111 they are probably refering to country fowls, the one which is not a broiler chicken dude. and these chickens really need to be pressure cooked... u really need to relax and enjoy this recipe

  • @krithiga89 dumbass uve heard atithi devo bhava or not? in india no one pressure cooks chicken i dont even pressure cook lamb asshole get a fukin life as ive mentioned b4 if uve never been to india we get turkey duck veal gouda chesse blue cheese dry italian salami what not so yeah get a check bitch

  • @BaronOfTandoor always be a lil open with suggestions and variations sir. in fact u never had to be so rude. u could have well ignored if u dint like. i am refering to the south indian cooking style. i am sorry if that comment hurted you so much.

  • This looks amazing and I can't wait to try this dish out.

  • Comment removed

  • tks for that I always loved indian food but usually just bought it but after all these years I thought why not try to make it myself will try others later as well

  • Looks Delicious and I will try it just one question I always assumed curry used curry powder is that not correct or is it optional for this recipe thanks

  • @thinkorthwim69 : Curry Powders are NEVER used in India. If you have it and want to use it - go ahead but really there is enough flavors going on...

  • @thinkorthwim69

You are damn right, a chicken curry without spicy curry powder isnt a curry.

I wonder how does this one tasted like, sounds like a spicy stew. For curry, basically you need to strictly marinate your chicken in various spices like black pepper powder, curry powder, red chilli, thym, curry leaves, lemon juice, olive oil, sugar and salt for at least four hours in the fridge or more.

Then you MUST braised the chicken and keep on side. Finally, fry your spicy masala&cook with chicken.

  • @kumaryder tks for the tips I was not realy sure as never cooked it before last night i made a batch and it did taste nice but the time in the fridge i could see will help so that i try next time always ready to learn even at 60 years old lol tks again

  • @kumaryder dude.. ever tried to find out what is there in a curry poweder ? it is the powdered mixture of the same stuffs which these lovely ladies were adding as individual items.

  • @jerkrichie

Unfortunately not!! Tho fresh curry powder is better, I suggest you beta buy it from the Asian shops as a proper curry powder is quite complex to prepare, it contains loadz of different spices.

Basically, curry powder should have a mixture of curry leaves, thyms, basil, cardamon, cloves, pepper, turmeric, cumin, anise & fennel seeds, cinnamon, paprika, garlic, onions, salt, sugar.....etc

If you have a good spice grinder/blender at home, you can prepare the curry powder urself.....

  • @kumaryder well...I buy it from (just) shops as I live in India ;-). Trust me mate, there is no onions, garlic, salt and sugar in a curry powder. You are right for the rest of the ingredients. The video here shows most of these as individual ingredients so would not require curry powder. Cardamom, Cumin and Fennel we usually dont add if we are making a spicy curry, again it is completely a personal choice. And try making the dish the way it is shown here, and it would be a nice one.

  • @jerkrichie

Heyy, I am in this field dude!! I reckon its pointless to argue wiv you guys!! If we follow these ladies' recipes and start preparing the same chicken curry for our restaurants in London, we will have to close down our business the following day....even those white british overhere can teach those asian ladies and urself how to prepare a proper spicy chicken curry.....and you askin me to try out makin this dish..well, you beta learn more....bout MARINATING MEAT, STOCK PREAPARATION

  • @kumaryder brother, the point is not whether your dish is tastier or the one shown here.. as the taste is up to the Individual. Like if you prepare your London curry chicken and try to sell it in India, you may close down the business on following day.

So if you are in this business it would be more sensible to accept and try out new things. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to cooking. Learning a new way to cook the dish will only help you in your business.

  • @kumaryder If you are in this field and still you think there is onion and garlic in the packet curry powder (not paste) you buy from asian shop... You need to learn some more about the work which you are doing. Or may be trying to read the ingredients list in the packet also would help.

  • curry powder is a mixture of spices.. you add your own spices seperatly as in video, gives better results and can be tweeked.

    Avid curry eater/makes

    Les

  • This is just amazing.. the whole process of making a curry in such detail ..

  • this is the dumbest way to cook a authentic chicken curry .....sorry ladies you dont know crap about cooking....furthermore who told you chicken doesnt cook without pressure cooking in India.....I cook it all the time in a kadai. Please dont call it spicy chicken .....there is no spice to talk of in your recipe

  • @bulleo123

    So true dude...

This looks like a chicken stew. They have mixed garlin, onions and tomatoes to call that Masala!!! lmao

  • im sorry to ask where yuh guys from? good cokking! :)

  • awsome recipe:-).........and can i substitue chicken with eggs??will it taste good??

  • @riariariadixit : Yes, excellent. Needless to say, the boiled eggs will go at the end.

  • Ladies, i want to thank you so much for this, i tried it yesterday and it came out soooo nice even for a first attempt, i didnt blend it as i couldnt be bothered but all the same it was fantasic and my partner and cousin loved it. God bless you both xxxxxxxx

  • @godskeisha : Glad you enjoyed it and happy we could help :)

  • That looks wonderful! I want to do this dish soon, and will need alot more recipes as buying the spices will be pricey and too much just for one dish.

Can u recommend a website to buy authentic indian spices? Thanx

  • @usaalways

    Try Herbo (dot) com.

  • @usaalways

and every time you make a different curry, you have to buy more spices, many of which can't be found anywhere locally, but when you find a good recipe... YUM!

  • 'Scuse the ignorance and apologies for not having read through the entire thread - but what is the "scandal" in this dish? Not sure of the meaning and it's not a familiar curry term to me. On a personal note (and having been prodded many a time by a very close Indian friend!) I would have added about three times the amount of chili :D

  • @flatleythebard

The original title was "Spicy Chicken Curry" but we changed the name for a friend who was using our video for something he was working on :)

  • I'm going to try this tonight. I'm missing a lot of ingredients but I'll try it with the ingredients I do have.

  • Hey girls, which one of you is Spicy, Only I gotta avoid any Scandal.

Don't worry - plenty curry eh girls (not you Scandal)!

PS. Speak to google ad's they are promoting 'Burn's dry dog food' under your splendid video

  • I just made this curry and it was excellent. I will be trying other recipes in the near future. Very good.

  • that's some serious onion madness right there..! xD

  • Ok. Thanx to this video I just hit my kitchen, picked the fridge up, and dumped the contents into my mouth. These vids always make me hungry. Great vid.

  • ladies, next time try marinading the chicken in CBQ (or curry barbecue sauce) and barbecuing prior to cooking. also you can use that same marinade for a base of the curry sauce. bon appetit!

  • HOW TO MAKE A CHICKEN BOMB!!

  • Thank you for the fantastic sincere recipes.... LOVELY!!! Keep up the excellent work!!

  • I love this video...I can't wait to try this. :)

  • Thanks for the video! I am going to try sort of the same thing tomorrow. The curry I used to make, which is NOT traditional, but really homemade, contained a lot of veg as well. Also I use coconut milk instead of tomatoes to make it saucier. I personally like to add some lime juice and some palm sugar as well, to give it a bit of a twist. But really nice recipe. I'll definitely use some of the stuff you showed.

  • Haha, I'm going to be stuck at home here soon for about a week and I wanted to learn how to cook some of my favorite foods, unfortantly, we don't carry a lot of the indegrients, so I don't know if I'm going to be able to fix this. But I will def keep this video in my mind

  • thanks for the recipe

just fyi - gravy is not the correct word. You should use the word sauce.

Etymology: Middle English gravey, from Anglo-French gravé broth, stew

    Date: 14th century

1 : a sauce made from the thickened and seasoned juices of cooked meat

  • Wow, my mouth is actually watering it looks so good! Yum!

  • atithi devo bhava

  • Wow! All your recipes are great! The food would look more appetizing if your videos are in good quality.. :) Just saying.. :)

  • u ladies must have rich hubbys

  • Comment removed

  • Very delicious curry! Indian and Thai curries are my favourite :)

  • Taste good but now im sick witch sucks because I liked it!

  • its awesome...ur recepies r simple yet tasty and easy to cook...keep going!!

  • shut up! who are you to decide that. Are you trying to tell us that we shouln't use the spice bought from stores that are in powdered form...

    relax and appreciate!

  • powdered spices loose over 50% of their flavour faster than you think, just try to smell black pepper powder and freshly ground one.

Actually, whenever you have the chance, use always entire or freshly ground spices, better if dry roasted before use.

  • well, in that case, go and appeal to the manufacturers of these spices, not to their users.

  • why whenever i add star anise to my curry, it gets bitter???can someone tell me the taste that every spice gives??

  • Star anise is a super strong spice and should be used sparingly. The flavor is that of fennel seeds (licorice). In Indian food, it is sometimes added to hot oil in the whole form so that it flavors the oil with out overpowering the dish.

  • thank you so much for the information

  • why doesn't the food network do dishes like this

  • DOVREBBE FARE VERAMENTE CAGARE

  • il piatto non fa cagare 6 tu che devi andare a cagare!!!
