@TheKyle444 Colored plies are just dyed maple plies, but also other kinds of plies are really strong too, don't worry on that when buying from homewood, just go for the look and the shape you want, because the quality is guaranteed

@CrOmE600 low pro, flatface, and berlinwood are very high quality boards and should be used for more advanced fingerboarders. Z shred on the other hand is available for fingerboarders of both ranges but they do lack the quality of more professional decks. i personally prefer berlin wood and decks alike but they are more expensive but worth it. z shred decks are to thick and the coating on the finish is not durable. basically, its all about skill and preference.

It's more than just the material. Whenever you go down in size, the cost goes up because it requires extreme precision machining. The slightest mistake is felt more, whereas if there is a larger scale, there is more room for error.

There's a reason why I say Riptape style grips are the best UPGRADE for your board.

Tech Decks are great performing boards, and I still am able to do most of my tricks on them. They're just not ideal, but they work well.

I love my YTrucks. You can make them as loose as you want without glue holding a nut on, and they feel very solid. :)

i suggest just getting a tech deck competition series it is all wood it comes with foam tape which isnt that bad if you ask me the wheels are a TON smoother than their old ones and the bolt dont come loose and they are only 10 bucks

Good advice i took the approach of buying BRT 2.0 trucks and winkler wheels.... Now i can buy new decks which in my opinion is the most fun part of the setup to change.

ive noticed how grip can affect your board. it really does affect the boards performance. i had riptape on that was worn in, and today i just got some fbs tape and right out of the package i felt a better performance in the deck which is a berlinwood. im not hating on rip but i see a big difference in texture and perfomance. i love fbs

YTrucks are by no means a "waste" of money. You get what you pay for and the quality is there.

In terms of making a difference to your fingerboarding, they will make less of a difference than a deck, new grip, etc... that is why I put this video up.

If you already have a nice deck, etc, I highly recommend buying a nice pair of trucks to go along with it because it's a great purchase.

I ride a yellowood a6, with fbs extra smooth, matte x3 ytrucks, and winkler wheels brr edition black, it's an amazing setup. I would definitely recommend it!

Not just BRR trucks, but any "professional" kind of trucks. The reason why I have them last is because I consider them a luxury. The are AMAZING and you will feel the difference, but they can be tough to afford and don't affect performance as much as the others.
