I have only been in my local hardcore scene for a about a year now, I've gotten to know some of the older guys and they've been pretty accepting. I've seen a lot of people on youtube saying younger guys didn't see the glory days of hardcore, I brought this up with one of my older friends and he gave one of the best pieces of advice I've ever received he said "fuck those guys, make your own glory days, hardcore is what you make of it." I know this holds little relevance, but I thought i'd share.

@itsNovak He's actually right. Hardcore is an off shoot of punk rock and when punk rock was in it's hey day the people listening to it were not consider cool at all. Infact they were considered social rejects and the same went with the hardcore kids when that movement started. It's more widely accepted now but when it was starting out it was a haven for social outcasts who didn't fit into the norms of our society at the time.
