The argument that a country's youth not taking their education seriously just because the country is supposedly not run "so well" maybe a moot point! Consider the fact that compared to a wealthy, comfortable 1st world reigning superpower like the United States or even other first world nations with the most comfortable lifestyles and govt. support like UK, Australia etc...the govts. of India & China are terrible. They barely provide a decent infrastructure, wealth, social / financial support.
contd.....from my previous post : And YET, those poor Asian kids under the worst, unimaginable physical/ enviromental conditions, poor income (worse that the slums of Harlem / Detroit), poor nutrition ( > 75% of Indian kids are malnourished..an average Indian consumes less than 5-10% the net calories / nutrients in the whole day that an average American consumes in just 1 meal. What an average 17 year old American/European girl consumes in 1 meal > the net calories of an Indian male for 4 days.
I agree that there are many in the US that do value their education. There are many that don't. Like the "actors" in the movie said, they only think that americans are party people. They never said that it was a fact. When I first immigrated to the US that was my impression too. But I have met many intellectual people from the US that make me proud of my decision to an American. Thanks for your thoughts!
Americans are brainwashed by the media. It is done on purpose. Look up "US Federal Reserve central bankers" also known as banksters (like gangster.) Look it up. There is about a hundred videos on the subject. USA is being destroyed from within on-purpose. BushCo era has been a big heist. Worker harder, work longer, go into debt, earn less. Central Bankers at work. They fund the government which is why they are so powerful. The IRS "tax" money pays only the interest on the "national debt."
hey I think education is a good thing too. I think too many people are focusing on having fun and are never taught to work hard, only do the opposite. I came across your vid cuz im doing a research paper on this.

Wow. Good luck, young man...
The argument is not about whether there is anyone who values their education in America, it's about the cripplingly huge number who do not.
The future is yours, and you (speaking generally to young people) do not care. You think it will just be there; be easy; be paid for.
If you cared, you would indeed spend your time differently. 2 Million Minutes.
Again, when I say "you" I do not mean you, sir. I don't know you. You may be a very hard worker; a great student.
