  • Thanks for the UP!! ELGROOVER; you have made my day. I love these guys; ever since their first album 'Ten Years After.' Alvin Lee is definitely one of the greats. He, like other masters of the guitar has his own sound and I for one, love it.

  • I still have the tape, but now I hear it here on YT ! Still a great pleasure after so many years, isn't it ?

  • Just a brilliant band, thanks for this

  • why so few listners.... history music class A

  • This is absolutely my favorite Alvin Lee, Ten Years After song of all time ! I've been listening to it for about 41 years now, and this song still just whales. That tone Alvin has, just moves me way down where I live. For any younger fans, if you're not sure which TYA album to purchase first, you cannot go wrong with Watt. It just rocks from beginning to the end with some of there best original songs, and ends with one of the most ass kickin' versions of Sweet Little Sixteen I've ever heard.

  • @shadownglass - I Agree This takes me Way Back to my Teen Years W/ My First B/F

  • mazment song

  • Alvin was born down the road from me.....Mansfield Nottingham...he was aka Alvin "fingers" Lee, he could play guitar like lightning :)

  • Love this song!

  • Outstanding!

  • Alvin Lee was born in 1944 he was 25 at Woodstock. The drummer for Santana was 17 at the time.

  • Alvin Lee was only 17 when he played at Woodstock....could not even legally buy a beer.

  • My Favorite TYA album!! Very cool!

  • THX ELGROOVER for this post. I saw TYA & Yes at Duke Univ. Nov.20 1971-still have my ticket stub. Thanks for the bringing back a magical time.

  • My pleasure ☺

  • Thanks for upload!

Always loved this band-love the jazz-blues-rock fusion

I was in movie theater watching woodstock and tya comes on and I turn around and say 'who the hell is this!?

    thanks again

    happy bday Alvin!

  • You're welcome ☺ cheers! ;-j

  • i havent heard this song for ten years-since i gave my vinyl collection away -this one song by tya has always stayed fresh in my head tho-so it was nice to actually hear it again and not just listen to it playing in my head-this album was reckoned to be one of their worst -but i liked it and i liked shhh too "she lies in the morning" which i also had and just listened to a few minutes ago on youtube-thank god for youtube lol

  • how cool to find this song on youtube!. I was in a band in the early seventies that covered this song. I have a little TYA on cd but not WATT. I also used to play "I'm Coming On" in college when I had just taken some acid and was starting to feel it

  • I always thought i was a tya fan. One of my altime favorite lps is A Space In Time. I saw them in concert in 76. I'd heard of the watt album but never heard it. Man, what have i been missing? This stuff kicks ass. Thanks for enlightening me!

  • You're welcome! ☺ I think you can still find all of the eight tracks from WATT here on YouTube. It really is a fantastically good album, glad you heard at last! ;-j
