  • amen to the comment above

  • if u wernt there u will never know i feel sory for u

  • I long to be a real child of the 70s. Now in my late 40's that is all I listen to and love it all - I was not brought up with music of the era and absorb it all now, with pure passion and complete awe and longing to be there.

  • great song but totally out of synch, lol

  • I still sing this to my lady :)

  • i like this son bernard dedicated to me. when u know is true love the words of a song touche ur heart

  • This was number 1 on the billboard charts the day i was born.

I think this song is solely responsible for how much my life sucks today.

  • @MCADJim Odd. It was number 1 the day I was born too and my life is a wonderful adventure.

  • this was number one song when i was only one

  • the long haied guy seems a little fruity to me

  • @snuggles4funn yeah, was not uncommon for musicians in the late 70's with #1 tunes to be..........fruity ;-)

  • Got to be one of the sexiest songs ever... I remember ... oh, I remember... can still taste you

  • Other songs at the same seductive magnitude are ""I'm with you"by Sherriff and "you are a magnet and I am steele"by Walter Egan. You must check them out. They are my FAV!

  • @suenoko Don't have to check them out. I know those songs well. Actually have Magnet and Steel on a cassette somewhere.

  • @atomicpunk48 Well I must say you have exquisite taste in music!

  • @suenoko I'm actually an old Van Halen, Aerosmith kinda guy. But some of us have a mellow side. It's 1:00 AM on the East coast and I have to work tomorrow. Have a good night honey. Keep in touch!!!!

  • Had an Econoline van back in 1980 with an 8-track player and 6 speakers. This was my girlfriend's favorite song. Felt so good to be young.

  • @atomicpunk48 that was cool.cooler with a bed in the van!

  • @suenoko Yeah. Had a little cooler back there too. Nice talkin to ya.

  • The writer of this song knew how women think, He got it.

  • No, James Stokley former lead singer of EXILE; died on 8-14-85. Just The Facts Please!

  • Oh man... I didn't know the lead singer on this song was dead. 1978 is absolutely right. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I can't listen to that song the same way now that the guy died.

  • good song but scary singer

  • mine was like this song.

  • I remember this on the radio like yesterday and for me it made me think of a girl in Scotch Plains I was crazy about then.

  • Happy Gilmore!!! hahahaha

  • belly rubin music

  • I need you near me Baby

  • This song is a oldy but goody song!! I bet they got alot of chicks with this song! It has real passion and soul in it!! Good song for lovers-really in love~~70's music is the best in the world~~Wish they would play these songs on the radio today.

  • So Fine Of A Song! Please never take it down. :)

  • what a great song they don't make them like this any more.

  • Being a drummer or Keyboard player was a bitch in the 70s as unless they sang lead, they go no screen time in any of these videos!

  • What's so intriguing is that this band is Country now. Back in 1978, EXILE was considered a Pop band. At any rate, I must say that this tune is somewhat hypnotic. I would have to imagine they got lots of chicks with this one.

  • used this to song to help turn a person on....LOL

  • so sexy

  • It was in the fall (78' or '79) when this song broke nationally and I threw away my virginity. It still moves me inside.

  • @professordumbledorf This song just has an affect on women. My mom loved it as well as "the" girl next door. The other day my neice asked to copy a song she liked. I said sure, which one? She told me and I was like "no, absolutely not, lol. New Orleans Ladies by Louisiana Leroux was also very popular at the time.

  • @professordumbledorf Sounds nice :)

  • @professordumbledorf It was relesed in the fall of 1978 . A #1 hit for them !

  • This is a very sexy song! "I wanna taste your lips..." When this was a current song on the radio, I said those words to my GF just as the song was coming on, we kissed, mm mmmm nom nomm and then she heard the lyric and looked at me like, "How did you know they were going to say that???" and I remember that romantic kiss to this day. She was yummy!!! <3 <3

  • Back when music was real none of this rap crap computer junk!

  • CLASSIC NO1 HIT FROM SUMMER OF 1978 WHEN LIFE WAS SIMPLE AND HAPPIER . GOD REST LEAD SINGER JIMMY STOKLEY WHO PASSED AWAY IN 1985 . GOD REST HIS SOUL . WHEN OH WHEN CAN WE GET THIER 70S ALBUMS ON CD

  • @4207dank hahahaha

  • that's my one of my fave songs from the '70s!

  • Yeah this song was a hit when I was 17 yrs old. This song was one of the songs responsible for making me think that a guy out there would come along and be crazy over ME and We would just be passionate like this song FOREVER! But ALAS,the song in reality should be"I wanna just get laid,Til the night closes in,then go home bitch."

  • @suenoko On behalf of all GOOD men, I apologize for any hurt and regret men have caused in your life. I believe men leave home too early and never really have enough time to grow and mature.

  • @suenoko hahahahahaha im sorry thats great.

  • @suenoko are you still searching. im a romatic and i feel women need to talk to.so if your looking ,email me.ill hold you till the night closes in and make breakfast as well.peace

  • @suenoko LOL, you're very cynical for a grandma :)

  • @suenoko aaaaw thats sad...however i did lmao.

  • @suenoko I disagree! and I agree.... 16 years this June..... I was a bit younger when this came out. The JC Penny Catalog, underwear section is where I found the girls of my dreams... Then the day came. Years later, many boozed up one night stands and a few sick relationships past. I had almost given up... Thanks Colleen!

  • @suenoko Hey girl, we don't all think that way. Same shit happened to me over the years. It works both ways.

  • @atomicpunk48 Well That is true.I chatted with a guy once that thought he met the online girl of his dreams, after a year of chatting he sent her a plane ticket. He was awaiting with a bouquet of flowers. The flight arrived she wasn't there. The next flight,no show.He waited 4 hours and found out later she cashed in the plane ticket and never heard from her again.

  • @suenoko See? It happens to everyone.

  • he looks like an indian but very good singer

  • 16 people don't like to kiss

  • old times

  • Magnificent.

  • The fashions , the hair was cheesy. Hell , the lyrics are too. But damn I will take them over what we have now any day.

  • yeah, that too

  • Good song! .. But damn! the singer(guy with the long hair) downright creeps me out. He reminds me of a guy with a lot of dirty fetish.. Nasty!

  • @86svo69rsss cracks me up! youre right.. Hes a creep but this is a great song. Loved youre comments.

  • this song sends moosegumps all up and down my spine. I remember making all kinds of moves on chickas at the high school dances with my new silk shirt. damn i was so hot

  • @jeffdeanable haha you made me laugh. I am 44 yrs old so I still LOVE this song to this day however I am thinking you are younger..anyway your comment is hilarious I needed a good laugh today..Thanks..

  • @likewowmanhey Glad I got a laugh, I really don't intend to piss people off....but, you know, the beauty of opinion...That's why I love youtube comments. I'm 42, but trust me, I like some tunes that some people just shake their heads at. We're all similar in many ways, I think. Have a good one, and let's keep laughin'. :)

  • @jeffdeanable Oh yeah your comment in response to this song still has me laughing a week later. Whenever I hear this song now which they still play it here on the radio a lot I must say, I think of what you said about it though guess what? I still love this song but I am a romantic so I guess thats why..haha!

  • Exile before they went country

  • I was a kid on the boardwalk playing pinball and I can remember this song playing on the loudspeaker. The phaser effect was what captivated me. Its hard to believe so much time has passed.

  • Richmond, Kentucky's finest! I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard Exile play live, both at old Speck's and out and about. Jimmy Stokley---RIP.

  • are they on acid? looks like there tripping!

  • the lead singer with the long hair is so stoned!!! there all so high, on something!

  • @valerie17ism YEAH, BUT GREAT TO WATCH...WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?

  • @alisterfolson Jimmy Stokley (long hair) died and the rest of them went country.

  • @CheshireCatFun Let me guess...it was drug related?

  • @alisterfolson Wikipedia doesn't say, but he left in 1980, and died a few years later in 1985 from hepatitis complications. Shame, really. But, we have this terrific legacy.

  • @CheshireCatFun Right on, thanks

  • @alisterfolson WRONG. He was sick from lover probs.

  • @Desiree50 omg just appreciate the music duh it was the music that counted that gave us all memories of forgotten teenage years who understood stuff like that when we were 14 ?

  • @paulamcallister what are u trying to say?.....I know i misspelled liver.

  • @Desiree50able Sorry I read your post incorrectly, but I should add that hepatitis complications are liver problems, but that doesnt excuse my misunderstanding and lack of reading posts related to your comment - again sorry for any angst or offense I might have caused. I was rather on my high horse from the comments made by a person called sandellma and got carried away again my sincerest apologies :) i hope you accept them

  • @galaxieland I'm 17, and I envy the people living in the 70s...I LOVE the music and the mood it gives...when I see something from the 70s, I instantly enter another state of mind...so amazing

  • @SheepNorway you should envy us, the 70s were great. maybe youll get lucky and they will build a time machine so you can experience the fun we had with disco , roller skating, Huge night clubs, cool cars, you could actually leave the door unlocked or let your kids outside and some people had shot guns in the back window of their trucks at high school and nobody got shot (on purpose) man them were the days. naa im just kiddin, all that i said was a lie except the music, it was great.. ;-)

  • @caveman1968 Haha sounds amazing :) when it comes to the 70s, i get a very nostalgic feeling...i just loved how it's portrayed in movies, shows and so on...

  • @SheepNorway ..you hit the nail on the head.was an culturally bonding/transforming time of consciousness expanding and musical renaissance..and horrible clothes.

  • @whisperinwindcried67 True...wasn't really fashion at its best ^^

  • I remember listening to this when I was younger. I couldn't have told you anything about the band or what anyone looks like, but I just remember, this was the sh*t when I was growing up, even if I'm only 36 now, I absolutely still love listening to this band. They are bad a**!!!

  • If anything, seeing these ridiculous ads that are displayed on the video screen, only makes me NOT want to click on them. Enough already...we want to watch the video no advertisements!!
