Ok so So all the engineers at Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha are gay for making a simpler, easier to package exhaust with only one can? man they really need to update all the engineering textbooks so that single cylinder bikes will all have dual exhaust. maybe we can ever start putting quad pipes on Harleys next...
Many motorcycle engines have dual header pipes to get around the frame downtube. On top of that, two separate exhaust ports often flow better than a single. They merge into a single can for packaging and weight reduction.
No. The 700 has one cylinder and two exhaust ports. Because of the two exhaust ports, the engine needs two headers. The stock Rhino is sold with a two-into-one header setup and has one muffler, like the way many production cars have one muffler despite having two sets of headers. Just like with aftermarket exhaust products for cars, the pipes you see in this video were discovered to perform better when designed with less restriction.
And that's why you see two separate mufflers/pipes.
just got this exhaust putting it on this weekend hope it has a good performance increase it will be combined with an AFE intake which is great and sounds amazing.

What's the point? I bet the extra weight cancels out any extra power.

do you know anything about how engines work? Yeah, thats a rhetorical question. Cause if you did, you wouldnt have said what you said.

Ok better question then. Why does a single cylinder engine need dual exhaust?
BikerTrashWolf 3 years ago
u know theres 2 headers right?
glacier1978 3 years ago
I know some dirt bike/4wheeler engines run two head pipes but I have never seen one stay duals all the way out to dual mufflers.
BikerTrashWolf 3 years ago
They do that because, if you combine, people call you gay. end of story

Ok so we agree the second can is just dead weight right?
