I bought the SolidWorks 2011 book which covers beginner to advanced topics, and is very comprehensive. I often use the book as a reference to go through.
hmmmm am doing a revrese engineering for a helicopter ?? so i need to model it in a solid work first, do you think i can do it ( am still beginner)?????? or should i change my chosen product to a simpler product like RC airplane ??
argh.. i can see exactly the part that is broken on my dragonfly, right there in the main rotor-assembly.. i hate when they don't mail you all the spare-parts you ordered =)
Hi wesselsp, I am interested in your model and I intereted in buying the files, would you sell it? Any price in mind? the complete set of files for THIS video
Wire harnessing modeling is very impressive. In loose form, it's great for illustration. However, for an actual flying model we need tie-wraps, effiicent/accessible/serviceable routing.
Is your assembly model fully dynamically functional? Can you turn the motor pinion > turn belt drive > turn tail rotor? That would be most impressive.
@trexinvert yeah is is fully functional with moving parts and everything, minus the belt, but the constraints are there to to gear the rear blades buy turning the motor in the front. I agree on the tie-wraps.
@wesselsp What kind of video software did you use to capture everything? I'm hoping you used fraps or something. As an engineer making an actual video of your solid model and assembly is lowest priority(our job is to make sure every part works and fits). Rare that a company has an industrial artist to do this(even more rare a company will pay for a cad license for him, too).
Nice solidwork!! However, if you are a serious rcheli pilot walkera is a toy. (Ugh!! is that a brushed motor I see in there?) If you're interested in doing a trex500, let me know. I've done extensive re-engineering. Stay Safe Keep Simmin!!!
is there anyway you could send me the solid works file if you dont mind?I fly rc helis and it would be nice to have in case i need to make a part on my cnc.
