@KellyBeck32 The same was said about Kate O' Mara when she joined Dynasty. It was at the time where Joan was having contract negotiations and it seemed that Alexis' sister was invented as a threat to Collins.
As for Collins, I've never read anything she said about Beacham, but I have read some things from Stephanie that do sound bitchy about Joan.
It was genius to bring Stephanie Beecham to Dynasty after The Colbys ended--especially since Sable was the Alexis of the Colbys. Too bad the show ended and we didn't get another season or two of Alexis and Sable's rivalry.
Agree! Sable was a HUGE shot in the arm for Dynasty. She was a great fol for Alexis (much better than Krystle). S9 was a fantastic one for Dynasty. One of their best.

This clip not only reaffirms that Alexis has met her match in Sable, but it also shows that while Sable can be wonderfully bitchy, she isn't as mean as Alexis who doesn't think twice about striking below the belt with her vicious tongue! Also, Sable is a tad camp when she's being bitchy which helps to make this scene hugely entertaining!
I agree...the writing and acting really picked up again...too bad most of the viewer's were gone....it could have lasted awhile longer.....But Joan Collins was leaving after this season---so who know's how good it would have been.....
I think Alexis was irrelevant by the ninth season, she only appeared in half its episodes and Sable more than made up for her absence. I'd have loved a 10th season with Sable and Dex together in it and to have seen how their baby together storyline would have panned out.
There is nothing like watching these two rip each other to shreds---after all it is done with such style and the brightest smiles ever!! I always think the wider the smiler the bitchier the comment! FABULOUS!
