  • I feel like this would've been done better if you had better compression on that thing. REALLY inconsistent ratings.

  • @cjbh1996 the gun is actually shooting pretty consistently. it is the chrono that sucks. i took it to the local shop to double check.

  • i dunno bout u guys but the background music makes me feel warm inside

  • "They're speed holes"

  • @JoshuaDaPeck Btw is every thing in this video genuine, no chronographing with .12's or anything like that?

  • @JoshuaDaPeck 100% true. god knows i would never chrono with trash ammo like that... besides, using such low weight bbs would make it shoot like 500fps, not under 400.

  • I am considering doing this but I am kinda scard to open the gearbox for the first time, but this is my question . . . How do a get into a G&G V.2 Blowback gearbox?

  • Will the "swiss cheesing" help with spring bolt rifles?

  • can a stock piston like one in a dboys or jg, handle removing the material or will it break? wasn't sure if a higher grade piston was needed to do this.

  • Very nice. Well done

  • averages 320-330

    more like 300-310.

  • I LOVE NUJABES!!!!!

  • hey man! you have checked airleaks on that rifle? your fps is not costant.... just a tip ;)

  • So, let me get this straight...

this mod will cause an increase in FPS by making the piston lighter so that spring will propel it faster, correct? Makes sense to me.

    Question,

What size holes do you recommend? I haven't chronoed my DMR yet and I'm hoping to increase the FPS for nothing if needed. I should know by the 1st. of this month.

  • @DeadSilent120 yes, that is correct. but it is not the size of the holes that matters. it is how much material you remove from the piston.

    Question,

What size holes do you recommend the most?

  • if i put an m110 spring will i still be needing a high torque motor or will the stock motor be ok?

More power To You And ASTKILO23.....

  • @retfirddrifter most aegs will already have a similar power spring installed. you will be fine on a stock motor.

  • Does it effect the ROF in any way

  • @ian45 no noticeable difference.

  • What are the names of the song you are playing in the background. I must know!!!!

  • @MrExpostfacto

    1st one : Aruarian Dance - Nujabes

  • if u swiss cheese a stock piston without metal teeth how long do u presume it will last?

  • @iCreateDuctTapeStuff assuming you mean without the single metal tooth at the front of the piston, probably less than a magazine. that single tooth takes the most abuse.

  • 30-40 FPS by swiss cheesing holy crap thats crazy but how does the piston hold up in the long term?

  • @1Paintballer that specific piston actually stripped on my about two weeks about, but that was because i had it shooting at about 25rps on an m120 spring. i have not had a piston fail because of swiss cheesing.

  • @ASTKilo23 So, say I swiss-cheesed piston, if I'm not using it on a high ROF setup (Mine shouldn't be more than 12-15 RPS), think it will hold up or no?

  • @ARandomJoe yeah, should be just fine.

  • Wat does the piston do in the gun plz reply

  • @terriost24 The piston has teeth, which is meshed with the gears. When you shoot the gun, the gears pull it back and compress the spring behind it. When it releases, the spring pushes the piston forward, and the piston head creates an air seal in the cylinder, so it pushes all the air out of the air nozzle, thus propelling the BB.

  • wait PLEASE REPLYYY i found a azimuth piston with metal teeth and would this work with it

  • the background music is nice. what's the artist?

  • great vid thanks a bunch

  • omg i thought you was crazy till the very end, my drill will certainly by out... good times

  • Do you need a higher quality piston for this to work right?

  • @squirreldude96 any piston will work.

  • You think doing this to a completely stock AMG L96 would do wonders? Especially for someone who has no money for like a month? Oh, and don't worry, it'll definitely be a temporary thing until I get more money. Any ways, thanks in advanced for any help.

  • @Lovemetal629 should make a small difference, at least.

  • @ASTKilo23 I did, and now the BB's are flying down range faster than before. Don't have a chronograph but I can definitely tell it helped.

  • KK thanks for video. Thumbs up.

  • PS u have the perfect fps can u tell me what sizes for the sides and middle? Thanks :)

  • Wow that was a fast reply. Thanks!!

  • @AirsoftBackUp i really do not remember. just eyeball it.

  • will this deminish the life of the piston?

  • @AirsoftBackUp not at all.

  • it would be ironic if the piston was white

  • do you have a video about AOE? im setting my 249 for a high ROF and i need to know more about preventing my piston from stripping, just want to let you know i live in Ireland so we have soft springs in here ie. 328fps is the limit, my 249 is with a standard ratio gear, 8mm bearing bushing, 11.1 2800mah 25C lipo and now im gonna use my 'swissed piston' with it (thanks for the video btw) i know a bit about AOE but maybe you can add more info oh and btw ive shaved the 2nd and 3rd tooth already :)

  • @giansantiago i actually do not, sorry. its really not that hard to correct. just put *small* washers between the piston and piston head to add space.

  • what is the max fps the piston would be able to take without breaking?

  • @miguelacaballero19 you cannot really think of a piston taking a certain fps. that is determined by sever factors. the spring is what puts stress on the piston. i would say this pistons limits is about an m130 or m140 spring.

  • this song on a loop would make a good method for torture

  • nujabes!

  • Wow, that is some jump for such little work and quite a cheap part to replace if someone messes it up.

It would also seem possible to do each hole individual or change the drill diameter in stages to really fine tune the fps for those that need to stick to a fps boundary.

    Excellent videos,

  • I'm not sure but I think that thus the piston is lighter, the spring can accelerate the piston faster, creating higher air pressure, so that's why it adds some fps. I was surprised too, at first I thought that you are going to show how this affects on ROF, I couldn't imagine this affecting FPS :D.

  • is that the blowback one

  • is that the stock piston

  • @airsoftm4man yes, that is the stock piston.

  • lol i want the airsoftgi custom combat machines. for around 200 bucks you get so much (metal rails, flip up sights, crane stock, and some sort of new outer barrel)

  • that was highly unexpected for me.

  • swiss cheesing a piston also has effects on ROF

  • @RXillusionist i did test that as well, but my results were so insignificant, it wasnt worth adding.

  • 5:00 sounds like a good time...

  • @F1R9A9G2Z

    lol, nice!

  • @ASTKilo23 Thanks for doing the video i requested. But i was really surprised that the fps went up that much. Did you do anything else after you installed the swiss piston?

  • @airsoftmasters literally all i did was swiss cheese the piston.

  • @airsoftmasters wow do you know how to use a drill

  • awesome vid. man..

  • Any chance of you letting us know the background music? thanks!

  • @6Mr6Crowley6 look up "how to install a mosfet" on youtube and download it using realplayer.

  • hey could you do a review of that g&g?

  • @tacman103 the review will be posted on the airsplat.com page a month or two.

  • Does the strength of the piston go down

  • @yalcyalcy the structural integrety of the piston is not compromised.

  • @skatanolan this will work with any airsoft gun using a piston.

  • wow bro thats crazy

  • I can't believe that it actually worked... I really need to do this to my Classic Army AK47...

  • I NEED YOUR BACKGROUND MUSIC

  • @TheAlexBradley look up the video "how to install a mosfet" and download it using realplayer.

  • wouldn't the swiss cheese piston not only increase the fps but the the rof too?

  • @teams2k the rof actually stayed about the same. it wasnt worth mentioning.

  • how the hell? I dont under stand how it can do that?

  • @blackhawk42x the piston is lighter after you swiss cheese it. a light mass will move faster under the same conditions. it just like if you installed an aluminum piston, the fps would decrease because the piston is heavier and not compressing the air in the piston as quickly.
