With a 56" vertical his head should be 6" above the rim when standing and jumping without any steps..... he gets about rim height or 10 foot when dunking, and that's when he's running. He's in the 40's with his vert, still gets up though but no 56" lol

Same goes for the triple jump competitions--most athletes jump off of their dominant legs for the first two jumps, then off both legs for the third jump. No such things as a "long glide" or "two glides and one jump" competition.

I had a 40 inch vertical throughout my 20ies (5'10" white guy) and into my 30ies used it proudly on bb courts. I wasn't a particularly good player, I did it for recreation and to keep in shape, but I had a lot of fun doing it for as long as I could. I don't see why people need to make up numbers like a 56 inch vertical. IF the guy is really only 5'10" and IF he had a 56 inch vertical he could get his head 6 inches above the rim WITHOUT pulling himself up (which is what he does at :41). He clearly doesn't do that anywhere in this video. I'd say he may well have a 48-50 inch vertical, which is unbelievable. Just not as unbelievable as 56 inches.
