@Regginyaga Yeah, I might listen to Pavement more if Stephen Malkmus sang on-key. Bob Nastanovich screaming this song live was the highlight of their Sasquatch set.
@sHART1780 ... I hear you on that. Lyrics websites say "with your nose up like you like you just dont care." Though I swear to god that he annunciates "Swinging nachos like you just dont care." Its a cool SoCal image too.
@oskitown this is talking about how northern california is better than southern california. so i duno if this could be the anthem hahaha. fricken awesome song
@HOTTnSEXXXY69 understandable, but not commendable. You see, if this had been the case, by now, in the face of all the senseless diarrhea passing for music now, you'd be an angry, cynical, and most likely depressed slacker in his/her 30s now. Luckily, though, you can catch many of your favorites playing live again, as clandestine downloading has forced many a band to go out and bridge the pension gap the old way, by hitting the road and touring. Pavement in Amsterdam were better than ever.

I hear "swing your nunchucks like you just don't care." I know it's wrong but I can't help it.

As a resident of Southern Cali, I can safely agree with this tune.
I even have this idea for a rampaging, Mongol-esque army of bulldozers with flamethrowers on them, to "clean up" Los Angeles.
Santa Monica and Venice will get spared, but watched closely.
Beverly's Hills will burn.

As a Northern Californian, I appreciate this song. Gotta love Stephen Malkmus, whether he gives it to Billy Corgan, or Southern Cali. :)
