I have two cats, raised them together, they are sweethearts, you just have to communicate with them as ofter as you can, so they get used to you as well as each other
I happened on a litter of these cats, and they were about 4 inches long. I saw that the mother had been killed, and they were all starving. I called the animal control guy, and he said he was going to euthanize them. I asked for one, and he agreed. I picked it up, and finally got it in my truck, but I felt as if I had been in a fight with a pack of german shepherds. That little kitten tore me up badly. I kept with it, and eventually, after many stitches, she became domesticated, kind of.
These lynx are not angry. Their relaxed faces and body posture assure this. Their vocalizations bubble up almost involuntarily as a defense mechanism when they are out of their natural environment or around humans, which are more or less an alien species to them. Their "odd" vocalizations are suggestive of whale and dolphin noises. These are little wild coconuts and we easily misinterpret their sounds and behavior when we compare them to the more mellow housecat.

I'm a canadian trapper and unfortunately traps are not perfect , around 5% of catches aren't caught properly (aka it is caught by the leg) and is still alive when you go check your trap. I happened on a litter of these cats, and they were about 4 inches long. I saw that the mother had been killed, and they were all starving. I called the animal control guy, and he said he was going to euthanize them. I asked for one, and he agreed. I picked it up, and finally got it in my truck, but I felt as if I had been in a fight with a pack of german shepherds. That little kitten tore me up badly. I kept with it, and eventually, after many stitches, she became domesticated, kind of.

These lynx are not angry. Their relaxed faces and body posture assure this. Their vocalizations bubble up almost involuntarily as a defense mechanism when they are out of their natural environment or around humans, which are more or less an alien species to them. Their "odd" vocalizations are suggestive of whale and dolphin noises. These are little wild coconuts and we easily misinterpret their sounds and behavior when we compare them to the more mellow housecat.

@bhindthosegreeneyes Lynx in the united states are an endangered species and can no longer be trapped or hunted. However trapping is used to keep populations in check for other species of animals, take the beaver for instance, while I like beavers, they do incredible amounts of damage with their damns, often making area unworkable (say in the event of a farm or a ranch) and un inhabitable for many wildlife.

If there is a need for deforesting that means two things to me right now, need for more due to overpopulation, and not replanted, so new territory is damaged. they are not immobilized , and i'm actually being very rational about this. They have usually 1 leg stuck in another species' trap , and they are able to move around , still have 3 legs , and a set of sharp teeth. I'm sorry but no , they are no danger to humans , no matter how much you argue about it. And i'd rather trap 1 lynx a year and actually use it , then leave it to starve and rot, just my way of seeing things. BTW , you couldnt trap an animal if you tried to , while any moron can shoot.

no seriously , they're tiny. they weigh 30 to 40 lbs. they look big because of their huge fur but really they're big pussies when it comes to humans, an average male adult human being can kill a lynx with his bare hands much like he could a domestic cat , except you'd get larger scratches . ( if you could catch it that is ^^ which you won't)

i was being serious. I'm a canadian trapper and unfortunately traps are not perfect , around 5% of catches aren't caught properly (aka it is caught by the leg) and is still alive when you go check your trap. If you happen to have forgotten to bring your gun you can simply strangle it. Proven fact , seen it with my own eyes. Have ever even seen a wild lynx yourself , oh wise youtube man?
