  • I love that - idea - sold to the man in the pink hat !

  • that sounds cool- im thinking of getting the garritan orchestra thing when i can afford it-any one know if it be run through pro tools as a midi plug in? im not sure if its a vst or a rtas.

  • Good new... any vst could be used in PT using FXpansions VST-to-RTAS adaptor. Check it out... quite affordable too...

  • @derangedband

    VST/AU/RTAS/Stand alone

  • what sequencer are you running GPO in? And how stable is GPO, any crashes?

  • i'm using sonar 6 and i have absolutely no crashes!

  • how did you make the D-beam? looks nifty

  • Can u explain what d-beam actually does

  • it's actually controlling the volume and the filter of the orchestral instrument from Garritan Orchestra. the library It's programmed so that a midi control (CC1) changes the volume and thus the expression of the phrasing.

  • @bosone666 wouldn't it be easier to use a volume/expression pedal? then u can use both hands, aight?

  • i'm thinking of downloading this for FL8, do the instruments sound realistic? I know about philharmonic, but it takes up too much space, that's why i'm wondering if this is any good?

  • its good or so i have heard

  • what annoys me about the midis that come with sonar 7 is no brass section and no world instruments and no choirs

anyone know where i can get some for free?

  • do you not write music?

  • @TurKdiRty yes, what does that have to do with what I said?

  • exelennnnnnnt! sir

  • Nice job, bosone; excellent. I just read someone's lame comment about "why don't you just use a mod wheel, etc." I think it's great that you were messing around with different ways to control sound...that's what it's all about! Experiment, mess around, discover, fail, learn, experiment...thanks for sharing with us!

  • Great performance, bosone. The sound of that violin is very expressive. Does the D-Beam controller work like a theremin? I can see that the movement of your hand controls volume. But what's controlling vibrato? Thanks for sharing.

  • the vibrato is in the samples. in garritan orchestra there is no control of vibrato (unfortuntely...)

the d-beam is more or less like a theremin, but the theremin is better! :-)

  • how could i go about making a home made d beam controller?

  • are you satanist : why the love for the 666 number?

  • dont' worry, i'm not satanist nor religious!

  • The D-beam was used to control the vibrato (modulation)?.

  • no, volume

  • It's cool, but how is this useful? :P

  • >It's cool, but how is this useful?

as long as you're having fun, everything is useful! :-D

  • did u ever try vienna solo violin?

  • how is it useful u know how much it cost to rent an orchestra to come play for u or for a recording?

  • Nice usage of sensorizer
