that sounds cool- im thinking of getting the garritan orchestra thing when i can afford it-any one know if it be run through pro tools as a midi plug in? im not sure if its a vst or a rtas.
it's actually controlling the volume and the filter of the orchestral instrument from Garritan Orchestra. the library It's programmed so that a midi control (CC1) changes the volume and thus the expression of the phrasing.
i'm thinking of downloading this for FL8, do the instruments sound realistic? I know about philharmonic, but it takes up too much space, that's why i'm wondering if this is any good?
Nice job, bosone; excellent. I just read someone's lame comment about "why don't you just use a mod wheel, etc." I think it's great that you were messing around with different ways to control sound...that's what it's all about! Experiment, mess around, discover, fail, learn, experiment...thanks for sharing with us!
Great performance, bosone. The sound of that violin is very expressive. Does the D-Beam controller work like a theremin? I can see that the movement of your hand controls volume. But what's controlling vibrato? Thanks for sharing.
I love that - idea - sold to the man in the pink hat !

Good new... any vst could be used in PT using FXpansions VST-to-RTAS adaptor. Check it out... quite affordable too...

the vibrato is in the samples. in garritan orchestra there is no control of vibrato (unfortuntely...)
the d-beam is more or less like a theremin, but the theremin is better! :-)
