Fuck Apple, Bill Gates, and iPod. I had the 5g Video iPod from 2005-2011 (it broke this year - reason? sound card stopped working). You'd think that would be an important feature on a fucking mp3 player! I had a iPod shuffle. It broke today. Reason? I put it in the washer and dryer and now it won't turn on. Fuck you Apple for making shitty products. I'm going to your competitor. Perhaps they can make a fucking mp3 player that actually plays some fucking music!
I have this MP3 player! It works great and i love it! I was going to ask for an iPod 16g, but i'm starting to change my mind:
1) If I drop this on the concrete (which I have) it wont break, maybe just a LITTLE scratch. If I drop the iPod, the screen shatters, and I just wasted my money.
2) This holds about 2,000 songs (which is pretty good for a MP3 player).The iPod 16g holds about 3,500 songs. Which is only 1,500 more songs for more than 6X the cost!
@karimali831 I bought my Sansa Clip 2gig and am very happy with it. I'm now using it to play background sound at night. This helps a little bit with my tinnitus. But it records too! I recorded some birdsong the other day, and I'm really impressed!
Just bought this with 30euro from market, awesome thing. It has VERY loud sound. Great quality of sound. Best thing seen with 30euro. Menus are very well designed, and has shuffle in it. Changing song is fast.
After leaving mine in the car for some of the winter, the screen started to get darker and darker and started to shut down earlier with "low battery". Now there is no screen to be seen and the only signs of life is when I turn it on the big middle buttons light up blue, that's it, no music or anything. So ?

Basically right now, after charging: I'll press play. If nothing, I'll press the small button in the top right once or twice then press the big center button twice. If still nothing, I'll repeat but this time pressing down to get to the next option after pressing the small button. Anyway the point being to get to "Music"-"Play all", Still sounds good

@polaris911 Mine sansa clip got through 200 falling on the pavement. Once I dropped it into a puddle - it was immersed completely. And finally it got through a washing mashing. And guess what... it works. It's just invincible!

I just loaded 12 songs that I have licenses for and it wont play them but my other players will. When hooked up to my car stereo, I cant skip forward or backward thru songs, only folders. My other players dont have this problem. Its battery will wear out and one day refuse to accept a charge and the player will need to be trashed. My other players can use drug store rechargeables. The Clip is made for girls and children. An adult male needs two hands to operate the teeney weeney controls.

Ya this player is the best one I've had so far as far as portability : sound quality : size. The cliip kicks the Ipod Shuffles ass! I was strictly for Ipod until I got a sansa clip. I got an 8gb Clip for $50 at walmart. It was on the shelf right next to the 1g $45 ipod shuffle.

Mine quit working after 9 months. It worked great until then. I was last using the radio, turned it off, turned it on 3hrs later and it wouldn't turn on. Thought I left it on and ran out the battery. Tried to recharge it on the computer and windows said it did not recognize it and that it had malfunctioned.
I want to buy a Sansa Clip but my concern is browsing the music on it. it doesn't have the wheel like Sansa Fuse so if you have many songs on it, is it easy to browse them and find one? Should I go with this or Sansa Fuze?
if its long list just hold the button down for a few seconds... you can still browse by artist or tack or album or whatnot....ill admit they did rip off apples go list but it is a useful function...

@ploopsy666 eh I used iTunes even before I had my iPod and I liked it then, and I like it now. I don't see the advantage of being able to "drag and drop" my music in Finder/Explorer, and since I bought a MacBook Pro iTunes opens up when i plug my old 30gb classic into it, and I set it so I could manually manage my music so I can just put a few songs on it at once. Besides, this POS doesn't have nearly the storage I need (my 30gb is almost full), so I'll probably set a 160 gb classic.
@ploopsy666 And that's not even mentioning the player itself. I have yet to come across anything that matches the GUI of an iPod. I have no use for a graphical eq on a device this small, so the presets work nice. And using anything but the click wheel (i have owned other players such as an old creative zen) wouldn't feel nearly as good.
@ploopsy666 They come with the dock cable you know, and I wouldn't expect people to be stupid enough to lose something that is vital to the function of the device, but you never know. The dock connector has it's advantages because it allows a great number of accessories to be made for it, that you wouldn't find on a player with a regular mini USB connection.
Any suggestions on how to unfreeze one of these sansa clips? I bought a 1gb last year just to try it out... I really enjoyed it! Unfortunately I didn't know I couldn't use my Mac to recharge the battery without causing a problem. In fact, the Mac charged the battery just fine but never the less, the screen on my Sansa disk has been frozen ever since. Has anyone had a problem with this?
Plus, what does the Sansa clip have that the iPod shuffle doesn't just by looking at it? Also, it you tried to do what enzoten did at 0:28, you would likely be either be shopping for a new Shuffle, or nursing a broken finger.
that one's simple, right clip the Sansa Clip icon in "My Computer" and then clip properties and it will show how much of the battery is charged, it i charged when it shows "100%"

I want to buy a Sansa Clip but my concern is browsing the music on it. it doesn't have the wheel like Sansa Fuse so if you have many songs on it, is it easy to browse them and find one? Should I go with this or Sansa Fuze?

you can scroll fast by holding up or down while browsing through the songs and it scrolls pretty fast actually ~ but sansa fuze is good too :)

if its long list just hold the button down for a few seconds... you can still browse by artist or tack or album or whatnot....ill admit they did rip off apples go list but it is a useful function...

well yes...the ipod is rubbish... most people dont know any better since the ipods the only mp3 player they ever had.. they all preach about how godlike there ipods are because they never had anything else.. they just went along with apples huge marketing campaign assuming that they were the best since they spent the most money advertising...

@ploopsy666 eh I used iTunes even before I had my iPod and I liked it then, and I like it now. I don't see the advantage of being able to "drag and drop" my music in Finder/Explorer, and since I bought a MacBook Pro iTunes opens up when i plug my old 30gb classic into it, and I set it so I could manually manage my music so I can just put a few songs on it at once. Besides, this POS doesn't have nearly the storage I need (my 30gb is almost full), so I'll probably set a 160 gb classic.

@ploopsy666 And that's not even mentioning the player itself. I have yet to come across anything that matches the GUI of an iPod. I have no use for a graphical eq on a device this small, so the presets work nice. And using anything but the click wheel (i have owned other players such as an old creative zen) wouldn't feel nearly as good.

@ploopsy666 They come with the dock cable you know, and I wouldn't expect people to be stupid enough to lose something that is vital to the function of the device, but you never know. The dock connector has it's advantages because it allows a great number of accessories to be made for it, that you wouldn't find on a player with a regular mini USB connection.

Any suggestions on how to unfreeze one of these sansa clips? I bought a 1gb last year just to try it out... I really enjoyed it! Unfortunately I didn't know I couldn't use my Mac to recharge the battery without causing a problem. In fact, the Mac charged the battery just fine but never the less, the screen on my Sansa disk has been frozen ever since. Has anyone had a problem with this?

Plus, what does the Sansa clip have that the iPod shuffle doesn't just by looking at it? Also, it you tried to do what enzoten did at 0:28, you would likely be either be shopping for a new Shuffle, or nursing a broken finger.

I just got one of these. It's charging up for the first time now. I was hoping this vid would tell me how I'll know it's finished charging.
But I have to admit the only thing I learned from the video is that the clip comes off.

that one's simple, right clip the Sansa Clip icon in "My Computer" and then clip properties and it will show how much of the battery is charged, it i charged when it shows "100%"

Great player. Just got an 8gb version for $49 at walmart. Some walmarts have them marked at $69 but it should scan at 49. Ask for a price check.
