Here is the thing. In applauding Al's comments and cheering his use of the Bible we have revealed two points: 1) We are not good listeners - either to Al or to the Bible and 2) we have taken a "simpleton's" approach to the faith (i.e. anti-intellectual fundamentalism). The way we have done this is because if you read Romans and Corinthians and elsewhere in the Bible - carefully, it is crucial to note - it is homosexual activity that is condemned, not homosexuality. An important distinction.
Al Mohler answered straight forward and clear all while addressing the issues we all have as Christians in ignoring this sin for so long. Thank you Dr. Mohler.
This was an attempted hit by Lumpkins hoping to smear Mohler. He still is trying to make an issue where none exists to generate more interest in his blog beyond his mom and his sycophants too stupid to have their own opinion. He has gone out of his way to try and make himself the victim when his clear by his question that he had hoped to shame Mohler. Yes, even churches have their douchebags, and Lumpkins outdid himself because an entire convention forgot about the actions of Wiley Drake.
Dr. Mohler did not skate around this issue...he spoke in truth and intelligence...his response may not be popular in this modern time,but it is none less the truth....many Christians are guilty of blatant homophobia and hate and need to repent because there is a job to do...that is help those that desire freedom...and with the rise in popularity of homosexuality,it is also needed of true repentance within the gay community...

well Albert Mohler......you didn't answer the question, but you threw in some great words and voice inflection to make people think you said something great....they even applauded you for your performance. They applauded you for calling them liars. Great job. wow.
