This is so nice! They remind me of church when I was a kid. So much heart and spirit in the voices. The musicians are great, too. I wonder who's the organist? He and the piano player are never in the way. The drummer is so in the pocket, too. Never over playing. This is great!! God Bless This Group and all of you here on YouTube, too!! :-)
I agree, bob11. the added dimension of piano and organ make this great song such a wonderful sound to the ears! The Barrett Sisters could do it in acapella form and it would be tremendous, but the piano and organ cap it off. Such a wonderful rendition. When I think I am all alone with the troubles of this present world, I just play this(it is on the top of my favorites list) and relish in the fact that Jesus is with me and has NOT passed me by!
This is the very best version I have ever heard; I agree with my white sister (yes, I am white); no one does this song like the Barrett Sisters! God bless you! It is your heart I am hearing. Gospel has to be sung from the heart! Thanks for your labors in the Lord!
@forhishonorandglory I totally agree with you. It must be sung from the heart. This is the best version I have heard. God certainly dwell in those sisters. May they continue to bless the world with their songs.
Charles Pikes is just being himself no one new the Barrett Sisters musically like he did.The brother is not showing out he's just annoited and giving the world his gift. You cant find people who can play a piano like this anymore their keyboard players.
This selection truly reminds me of my late mother. She loved and lived for traditional gospel music and was a huge find of the Barrett Sisters, Mahalia, The Clara Ward Singers and the like.
These ladies can SANG yall!!! Truly Blessed : ) And yes they are very under rated but that does not matter it your "truly" singing for God!
Good old school gospel music never dies. The Barrett sisters are the most underrated yet highly anointed singers of our time. God bless these mothers in gospel music!
Love it! I love good gospel soul singing!! White people (yes, I'm white) can't pull this off....most of us don't have the right rhythm for this style.
It looks so moving and uplifting to see families (sisters in this regard) praising God and having been doing it for most of their lives. Most families these days turn away from God with some members continuing. I wish God's blessings on the Barrett sisters for their ministry, to those families that are continuing in the Lord, keep up and I wish all others God's strength to return to the cause as God is nigh.
They sound like a whole choir!!!!! WOW!! .......Their sound is like gospel mixed with opera. Their saprano singing is off the chain!!
