Shifu is a really interesting character.

He's been through so much, he has so many memories...

...Friends, family, enemies...

He probably thinks of all these things as he plays his flute. I'm inspired, to say the least.

I'm trying to play this by ear on my shakuhachi. This song makes use of the shakuhachi scale, which is ironic because shaku is Japanese and this show seems based on Chinese culture. The pentatonic minor is one of the greatest scales in musical history.

I have a Dizi Low A flute this one sounds Low but you try to play this tune its difficult and it sounds as if an echo has been added in software i would like to get the music sheet for this maybe it was played with an xiao and not a dizi i would still love to know what key if you can ask :)
