  • Sweet

  • Very Nice!! Thanks for sharing!!! Caralho!!!

  • Any flexibility exercises one might suggest?

  • Fucking gangster

  • Ninja

  • It is easy and effective

  • awesome....miss training in LA

  • eddie bravo is to jiu jitsu what marilyn monroe is to hollywood

  • To everyone screaming "This is just a basic escape!!": Yeah, it is with a few key points. First, hooking that leg is going to make it difficult for him to base out and put weight on that side. Second, the technique ends with Eddie in double underhooked lockdown. If you know anything about Eddie that set him up for whip up, old school sweep, plan B, the electric chair, sweeps into side and twister side control. He dominates from half guard lockdown.

  • It looks a lot like your basic elbow escape which he just renamed it "Escape from Alcatraz", Interesting nonetheless.

  • i like how Eddie calls this "escape from alcatraz" when it is a basic elbow escape, just with a little more effort (the hook)

  • @OffspringFTW65 it's not even CLOSE to being an elbow escape you moron!

  • @snapper842002 Uh yeah it is bro, no need for name calling, but bro, the only difference is he stop in log down, My instuctor who is a 2nd degree black belt under PROFESSOR Pedro Sauer calls that an elbow escape, cuz once again you set it up the same, you shrimp the same, you push with the elbow to create distance the same, and the hook to pick up the leg is just another variation,a nother way to do it, what, you want to give every motion a fucking name or something? It just ends in lockdown..

  • @snapper842002 Now the only other explanation for this misunderstanding on your part is simply because you are taught something different under the name "elbow escape" which I can understand woul be mixing you up, but i mean my instructor is very close to the roots in America, and if this is a matter of credibility, considering the roots is the founder of gracie jiujitsu, I think we all know the answer here....You were just taught something different, so you definately shouldn't be name calling.

  • @jujitsuJerk You know what? You're a jerk!

  • Did this on ma cousin and he was like aye WTF did u do :p

  • You don't need that much flexibility to pull off an foot-lift escape from mounted. Just turn on your side a bit, use your elbow to push down opponents leg, push your lower leg against his ankle and there you go! Eddie skipped the last point here because he has such abnormal flexibility and short legs!

  • @Jimmymma101 its called the "lock-down"

  • That is a cool variation. Probably the easiest I've seen. Thanks Eddie!

  • FUCKING BEAUTIFUL !

  • Eddie Bravo is a fuckin genius

  • this is legit, just rep the shit out if it

  • looks tough to pull off, but definetly worth trying!
