Thanks guys, I was alittle unsure on how TTT2 tag system worked (tag assault and that sorta stuff) but now it's been explained to me perfectly, I'll be sure to link this to other people. Thanks!
Hey Rip, when you're expounding on something MYK said, it'd be cool if you don't go too long without facing True, because it's a 3 man convo. Hope you don't mind the friendly suggestion. Nicely done again fellas.
interesting tidbit about netsu and tag assault is that when a netsu'd character is attacked during a tag assault, since tag assaults trigger the opposing team's partner's netsu/tag crash, the active character's netsu is cancelled out. so yeah...
Have to say thanks, I didn't understand the all the tag system very well, the guide book in tekken hybrid wasn't that clear with only a few page introduction
it would be a mistake not to use the sticks for tagginglike in ttt1, changing your game would suck big time, harada!!!! unless you send me a free joystick....the only bad news about the game otherwise loving it
Sad to hear that the tag button is R1. I use all my shoulder buttons based on the Tekken 2 configurment with left throws = L1, righht throws = R1, both punches = R2, and both kicks as L2. Can I move it to the right analog stick like in TTT1? I hope so, or it'll ruin my playstyle, especially my King, Nina, and Anna Combo Throws (gave up on Bruce years ago).
0:30 Notation 0:56 Basic Rules 1:14 Tag System 2:33 Tag Throws 4:07 Combo System 5:28 Tag Buffered Launchers 6:09 Red Life 7:28 Tag Assault 12:45 Tag Crash 14:49 Netsu 16:22 Balcony Break 20:46 Safely Tagging
I live in japan and I get to play this game when ever I get the chance but God all the wins I ever get is on my Tekken fundamentals only the japanese arcade sticks are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I don't see how people play with those things. I don't know why they stop letting you use your home controllers.
I won't be able to get good in this game until some time because of such ass controlls and alot of arcades don't have TTT2 so there is only a few places to go.
@kekkan They should let you use your home controllers like in Tekken dr(I played at a arcade one time and they said io could use my controllers for it).
@Tyrik73 Ya they took the feature out and thats not good if you can't use the crappy sticks the game comes with. The shit has no resistence I might as well be using a wii controller if I can't get force feedback.I can't wait for a home release to this game because it is pretty crazy and alof of things they talked about in this video like red life managment people still don't do so there is so much new stuff to learn.
Thanks guys, been watching a lot of TT2 on TekkenReplays and have been too entranced by the combo potential to take note of the mechanics. Not a Tekken player myself, but I think it's good to have an understanding of the underlying mechanics to improve the watching experience : )
Great episode as usual guys! Now, one thing I found odd and interesting is that I've seen a balcony break happen during a Tag Assault combo in arcade TTT2. (I can send you a link to a gameplay video that shows it). Sooo are they removing it from TTT2 eventually with an update or...? Yeah, I'm pretty confused now. :)
@krisqz Being the third guy on the front page to mention this, besides me, should let people know how important it is. I don't wanna have to buffer 2 or 4 before a throw, and it'll ruin my throw combo game.
you're confusing the basic notation system (f,b,u,d,1,2,3,4,5) compared to notation for individual moves (where you USE the notation system to write out a full move). Tekken Tag 1 the running cross chop move was f,f,n,1+2 - Tekken Tag 2 running cross chop move is f,f,f+1+2
@martino007 Last I heard, Jin/D.Jin tag like everyone else. Kazuya apparently has some button command to transform, as Devil is not on the select screen.
@Yosogoto That means my planned teams will be of Course Hwoarang/Baek, Jin/Kazuya, Heihachi/Kazuya, Xiaoyu/Dragunov, Bryan/Miguel, King/Armor king, Armor king/Jaycee, Eddy/Christie, Paul/eddy, Dragunov/Lars, Nina/anna definitely, Jin/devil Jin for transformation, Asuka/Jun, Jun/ogre, Eddy/Marduk, Paul/law, Possibly Jun/Unknown for console, Jin/Bob, Bryan/Bob, Feng/Dragunov, Raven/Dragunov, Paul/Dragunov & Hwoarang/Dragunov.
@Yosogoto i know how you feel man, i want this game now so badly too! I hope they are not spending too much time on different modes and etc, i only need the practice mode and the online mode and of course the customization mode, even in tekken 6, i don't even bother playing other modes. JUST GIVE ME THE GAME HARADA-SAN!
@LevelUpYourGame Great job guys. The only thing I was missing in the vid was a expanation around netsu. Is there any other way to get it except tag assault?
@genjuroSE Thanks, just added this in through annotation as well - "Netsu can also activate when a character has taken ~60% damage. This percentage may change depending on your tag partner and the teams cohesiveness"
@LevelUpYourGame in a tag assult when you tag in your partner highlighted in white how many hits is he able to do before your main guy takes control again ?

All we need is to play the game as soon as it hits our place, stop worrying about new things; tekken was made to be enjoyed anyway...

there's one thing that I don't get: during a tag assault who loses the red life? the first character, the second or both?
cris4thewin1991 3 months ago
@cris4thewin1991 If you initiate tag assault, the tag character that jumps in loses red life. So, the "second" character I suppose.
