me and my brother sometimes catch iguanas when we are at hotels, cause sometimes they call in ppl to kill them since they arnt native to florida so theyr seen as a "pest so we just catch them and show that they mean no harm, but this one time 2 iguanas fell into the hotell pool so they called some ppl to get rid of them and we caught them and went like 40 yards outside of the hotell and hid them there, dont hate us we just trying to help the lizards out :)
@geckosandreps1 like $15 but they will cost u about $1500 a year to really care for them right they are very complex and expensive reptiles to keep! they are more a lifestyle then a pet and are the wrong animal for 98% of people who buy one

Thanks, well actually they import about 750,000 baby igs to north america every year so you can have as many as u like but maybe 95% of them die before 1 or 2 yr old thats why me & others do iguana rescue & education to try to keep people from buying one until they know just how hard & expensive iguauas are to have. Binty & Gizmo were given away as carnival prizes as babies before we took them in as rescues & Woody was let lose or got lose when he was caught back in 2000 near where i live

i know a couple of people in holland who have an iguana but i dont know the laws there but i'm not sure if you have the right foods there for iguanas? thats a big problem even here we are lucky to have very many types of greens fruit & veggies to feed them but they are still not as good as their natural foods usually people buy them around 3 - 6 months old they must be checked for parasites inside & you must use a UVB light like the mega ray from reptileuv,com igs are expensive & complex to keep
oh and i got him a new box the new dishwasher came in he loves it and Gizzy trys to sneak into it too when Bintys not around lol but he loved that old box until he got so big for it
lol he loved that box to death haha now he has a box the new dishwasher came in up there in the top of the closet its huge! and he loves it when hes not sleeping on top of the cabnet in the bedroom
oh no i have a double sided fence in the backyard but Binty and Gizmo do sometimes get to go for a walk out front on a leash and for a ride or to iguana talks, Woody doesn't like to be around people and freaks out easy so he only goes outback

Hello Mr. Binty I love your iguanas and your iguana videos I am a 12 yr. old boy and I already have reptiles which I take great care and I was thinking about rescuing a small green iguana about 1 foot long from petco. I was wondering the cheepest way to set up a simple cage for it? and what is the cheepest way to feed it but keep it healthy?
yea he loves to be around other iguanas but doesn't like people much he does really like being around Gizmo shes impressed by him but doesn't trust him a whole lot even though hes always nice to her & gives her his food & the best basking spots & she will sit with him if he doesn't move around alot so its nice he can have a girl to hang around with Gizmo & Binty are fixed & Woody will be this Dec. yep they deserve to have the best life we can give them cause they didn't ask to be a pet
well females can become egg bound & die with an emergency operation, making too many eggs can kill her, males can get touchy to VERY violent during mating season & put you in the hospital in a second if they grab a finger or wrist and cut nerves or muscles you can end up spending $20,000 or more to reattach tendons so your finger or wrist will work right again or they can hurt the female ig cause in the wild she would run away from his territory if she didn't want to mate she cant as a pet
yea and its good not to breed igs cause theres so many out there that need a good home and wont get one. yep exotic animals are always more expensive to have and more work to keep "happy"
This is just too awesome lol. They all looked so happy together just enjoying the outdoors. I noticed Woody is finally trusting you a little more but still always seems like he says "I see you don't try anything sneaky!" when he walks back in the house. Lol, Woody's just plain Woody, Binty is enjoying himself a lot lately and Giz and Woody seem to get a long a lot! I'm going to try to make a video of my Iguana Lulu soon, she's 1 yrs old and she's getting big !
yep thats woody! everyone is a suspect with him lol yea Binty just knows hes something lol and hes glad to not have to share his room with Gizmo anymore shes moved into Woodys room and shes not completely happy about it but its better then fighting with Binty and Woodys glad to see her but i had to use seperate cages for them till i think i can redo the room & give them allot more room & see that they would get along ok Gizzy doesn't trust woody yet but she likes him, yea upload a video soon :)
like with kids i love each for who they are & these 3 are all so different but Binty is my ig & is trained to do shows-talks with me but so is my foster girl Gizmo all are very independant & strong willed Woody is our sancturary ig & will never be adopted out cause he is so wild but even he has learned to get a bath go outback relax in fresh air & sunshine which took a year of training so hes trying but he can be very nasty at times Gizmo is up for adoption Binty is my boy but Woodys impressive

How's the heat in VB? It was 102 here. That's not including the heat index. It's going to be a long HOT Summer. UGH!!!!!!
well its a small tree in my backyard and last year a huge downdraft split the top in half and i had to cut the top of the tree off to save it and Gizmo is the only one allowed up there and then only on the lowest branch where i can get ahold of her if i need too she knows if she tries to go higher i make her get down but she just wants to be high enuff to see over the fence and i watch her good. Binty and Woody are to big to hold on good and dont even try to climb it i also have a fishnet pole
