i have no food in my house and i havent eaten in 2 days and im about to make this, im so hungry it hurts, but im agoraphobic and i dont wana go to the food bank. :)
Does anybody know where I can find the radio version of this? It started out like a regular commercial for a soup, and then at the end, there was a sound like a record player being stopped, and a guy came on talking about how one in five kids didn't have anything to eat. I found it on a college radio station, but the DJ was doing a bunch of weird stuff in the background.
@AngryLlamaz Heh, I didn't think it was worth that many thumb-downs :$. YOu raise a good question - why can't ppl in poverty do something... like adult entertainment 'till they can get on their feet? I don't mean to judge anyone, but am wondering how each case differs from every other.

Too bad the woman had a kid she couldn't support. Though it's fictional - a real life person in this situation should have their kids taken from them. Disgustingly irresponsible people.
Are you fucking kidding me? You're looking at this kind of situation through the narrowest lens possible. Congrats on being rich enough to live in your little fantasy world, but do those of us who live in reality a favor and quit spreading your ignorance. Thanks.

It's actually not that bad, it's like tomato soup. Just need some crackers and if you can't afford them you can try to find old bread in the dumpster.
I hope everyone gets the point of this ad and votes Republican; Ketchup thieves are out there, raising brood and preparing a new generation of condiment crooks!

Yes! It's no one's fault they are poor! Money should be taken from people who earn it, and given to irresponsible morons who have kids they can't afford! Very mature viewpoint. Effeminate weirdo.
No, by all means - vote democrat - then we can have hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on commercials to make people feel guilty - meanwhile, real people are starving! Makes sense. Fucking posers.
@Alfrunk What a post... ye know, if you feel guilty after watching a PSA like that, then you prolly wanna donate more deep down, but something keeps stopping you. And I'm willing to bet that the welfare system is much stronger with a democratic president, than not. Though I can't prove it...
you just dont know how lucky you are to be wasting your time sitting your fat ass in a comfy computer chair, in a nice house while children are starving on the streets out there and are praying for a bowl of rice, while their parents resort to extremes like prostitution just to feed their family.
shut up, i hate ignorant people like you.
go live out in the streets. get used to being a hopeless wreck.
You are completely missing the point. Raising awareness of such poverty inspires those of us who are capable of feeling compassion to actually help them instead of sitting on our asses and bitching about them on the internet. If you had ever dealt with poverty you wouldn't be saying these things. You are ignorant and hateful and and I hope you realize this someday.

Yes, I'm sure that in your courageous youtube crusade, you've helped many starving people. You should be awarded a medal. Ignorant and hateful? Try logical and reasonable.
I seen this commercial on TV a while back. FOr some reason I thought of it today. Thank you for sharing. I'm very thankful that I have never had to go without. Think I might go home and make up a food box and give it to the local church. I'm sure they know someone who could use it.

If she were the least bit entrepreneurial, she'd at least try to swipe some captain's wafers or croutons from a salad bar - or go to the supermarket for samples like Homer Simpson. No wonder she's poor, no imagination!
This is a pretty good one. Very powerful. There were three more in this campaign, that I'd love to see here. It's a shame this is the only one at the moment.
Yeah, I wish I had the others. And this one at a better quality. I'm sure they are on the internet somewhere though, but it took forever to find this one. I used it in a speech on child hunger during a speech class in college; helped me get an A :)

Whoo hoo! Using other peoples' ideas and work to aggrandize yourself. What a hero! It's schmaltzy, emotional nonsense. No adult takes these idiotic ads seriously.
you know there are alot more than that in the Philippines and lets not forget Africa.

I don't think a hungry child would be saying that. Kinda ruins the effect the commercial was supposed to have on me.
