this aint my usual thing , but take out the second verse lyric,
push the whole mix a bit and you got the start of a really good pop song, they were sold down the cliche' river in their presentation, but there was something there worth more effort,,,,,any one know what happened to them i work in the ad industry and mil have come up several times in possible campaigns but know one knows the story of their demise or wereabouts,,,,,,,,
maxziz - hope you're still reading - you're dead right about them being sold down the river. I co-wrote and played on their album and theirs is a classic record industry story - next big thing, till the company execs got bored and moved on to another next big thing (Girl Thing, as it happens). As far as I know, Sherene and Maryanne were still involved in music until fairly recently, and may still be for all I know. Not sure what Kelly's doing. There were some other v good songs on the CD,too
coultharde-thanks for replying,i did get the album, thought there was plenty of craft there,and plenty of scope for development,a little time and application,could have worked wonders,despite some of the comments here ,you have every right to be proud of your involvment,making any kind of record of note,is an accomplishment these days,as im sure your aware,,,it would be good if they were still working as a unit,,,,good luck with future projects,
Liked Dirty Water quite alot for some reason (not my usual taste) and so wondered why Made In London disappeared off the planet as quickly as they appeared...
lol. this actually got more airplay than dirty water and was quite popular on that old mtv show that used to pit one song against another and viewers text to vote which one they wanted. anyway, they did kind of vanish all of a sudden. i met Madasun, another girlband at the time, and they told me that MIL had been dropped that very week. Madasun and MIL were compared a lot as they came out at the same time with similar audiences. Managed to get a promo of MIL's debut album and it's great though!
