This was against Luton Town in the Carling Cup....Luton were ahead 3-2, and this was the equaliser i think to make it 3-3...so i guess the job wasn't done yet that time...but Liverpool eventually went on to win it 5-3

I thought this was the 1st goal? Liverpool just won the CL and had a massive yet unproven reputation. Nobody was sure what they were capable of. Luton were top of the Championship (I think). Gerrard scored early and all the predictions that Luton might get whitewashed by the new euro champs seemed to be coming true. Gerrard just didn't wanna go mad over a goal at the start of an easy 8-0. It didn't go as easily as that. The game ended 5-3, alonso scoring from halfway.
