I remember playing this quite a bit back then. Only once have I cleared Stage 1 (last year or two years ago, actually). Game was very good for its time, even considering most other shooting games at the time had digitized actors and non-3D environs.
i've tried getting this to play but it keeps saying theres missing files in the rom
