i was just there this past weekend with Dr. Buchanan in my Geology club. dug in the dumps and had a lot of fun getting dirty and exploring for specimens. found a beautiful specimen with quartz with muscovite mica with some purple and green on it as well. and some dark green tourmaline growing on the side. it was a lot of fun =]

Does the lease include access to pegs underground or just tailings ?

Yes, you do get a tour of the underground peg, but no digging inside the mine. I think it has something to do with OSHA regulations. In the tailings I have found some great tri color tourmaline. The weekends are the only time people can have access to the mine. Be sure to call ahead of time if you would like to go.
