I had respect for Dr. Paul. He is a Gentleman and presents himself with class & dignity. I lost that respect for Dr. Paul when I learned he, as an intern, watched a baby be cut from his/her mothers' belly, put in a bucket on the floor and put in a corner to die while they all watched. What prevented him from taking that LIVE, CRYING baby out of that trash can and walking a few steps over to the Intensive Care Unit and saving it? He's lost my respect.

Most of history has picked gold as there currency, and most of history has picked the bow and arrow as there weapon of choice, so clearly we should arm our solders with bows and arrows. It worked for over 4500 of the last 5000 years, it must be way better then these guns...
@Intranetusa The government's spending is not relevant to the currency attachment to gold or any other metal. Nor does it prevent hyperinflation as there would also be a point where the currency would be forced off the gold standard to pay its bills. It would raise gold, which is useful currently, to an artificially high price making it usable for what we would like to use it for, rings, computer, ect. But the real point was that the argument of history is simply retarded. Best then /= best now.
Technically, having the money tied to something does make deficit standard more difficult.
There would only be hyperinflation is the economy sucks and then the standard is eliminated suddenly, and then the government decides to endlessly print out money. The gold standard itself does not cause hyperinflation, and while a government is on wild inflation will be prevented.
It doesn't have to be gold, it could be something else. The point is to get the gov't to stop spending money.
And necessity is the mother of invention, in a few years, non-metallic transistors will start replacing silicon and gold in computers and electronics. If there is a need, there will be a way.
Ron Paul finishes less than 1% out of 1st. Higher than even his own campaign honestly expected.

Cavuto is a great guy. I watch fox business news pretty much everyday and id say they have a pretty favorable view of dr paul. they certainly have him on alot. The judge obviously loves him but the others like him too. Regular fox is another story. Oreilly and Hannity are morons.

@thotkrime He seems to have either Ron Paul or Rand Paul on a lot! Most every day I see both of their YT-channels share videos where they're on Cavuto's show. I guess my view of Cavuto in that sense is a little one-sided, but from this viewpoint he seems like a very decent TV host :) And there are others on Fox that are pretty good too. Fox has a whole lot of bad sides and bad hosts, but they surprisingly seem to be the only ones showing any sign of sense and good journalism now and then!

biased interviews?? neil has RP on a lot and always lets him talk. he always gives him questions that allow RP to clarify himself on many issues. quite frankly, i think neil would or is supporting RP.
It's more a problem of Ron Paul not being a good interviewer. He'd need about 3 months of 3 day a week classroom sessions with tests to make the case he'd trying to make in 10 minutes.
Because the American public is so ignorant, it's really just an up hill battle. Most Americans will not vote hell, most won't even know there's a campaign on when they should vote. 30% vote for who ever promises them the most and the other whoever loves baby Jesus the most.

Ron Paul's humility is what always impresses me the most. He emphasizes the message, the movement, and what people are doing, not what he has done or will do, although he has the best record of anyone running in this field. Everyone else is trying to take credit for feats they didn't even accomplish themselves... everyone else is making grand promises about all the great things they will do... where Ron Paul states that even moving successfully in the right direction will be hard at first.

He refused to debate his Democratic opponent in the Texas governor's race in 2012 and he deliberately timed his announcement so as not to have to debate in Iowa. Cavuto is a great guy. I watch fox business news pretty much everyday and id say they have a pretty favorable view of dr paul. they certainly have him on alot. The judge obviously loves him but the others like him too. Regular fox is another story. Oreilly and Hannity are morons.

@thotkrime He seems to have either Ron Paul or Rand Paul on a lot! Most every day I see both of their YT-channels share videos where they're on Cavuto's show. I guess my view of Cavuto in that sense is a little one-sided, but from this viewpoint he seems like a very decent TV host :) And there are others on Fox that are pretty good too. Fox has a whole lot of bad sides and bad hosts, but they surprisingly seem to be the only ones showing any sign of sense and good journalism now and then!

It's more a problem of Ron Paul not being a good interviewer. He'd need about 3 months of 3 day a week classroom sessions with tests to make the case he'd trying to make in 10 minutes.
Because the American public is so ignorant, it's really just an up hill battle. Most Americans will not vote hell, most won't even know there's a campaign on when they should vote. 30% vote for who ever promises them the most and the other whoever loves baby Jesus the most.
