  • fantastic work. I am an ACI instructor and I really love your paintings. Well done and thank you for sharing

  • @MazArtStudio Thank you for your kind words, It always means a little extra more coming from another artist, and a certified one at that! Happy painting! as Bob would say. :)

  • Nice work. Great painting! If you have a chance check out my how to paint and speed painting videos and subscribe if you like. Love the green in the foreground. Keep it up

  • For some reason the video doesn't play smooth! I just tried a diff one and it plays fine. I just tried this one and it freezes and unfreezes every couple of seconds like your other ones do. Is it a problem with the camera? The audio is fine, I just can't till what you are doing to the painting:(

I would love to watch these!

  • I've been expecting a comment like this for some time as I've had that same problem myself with streaming vids. I don't know what causes it, but it isn't my camera or the files themselves, it's probably a server issue on the site. My only suggestion is to try it again another time.

  • yea keep the oils going

  • i intend to but i'm out of canvasses and money to buy them...once i get caught up with bills and stuff, say within the next 2 months i'll get started again.

  • It takes some work, but if you have paintings you don't like, you can reclaim the canvas with oven cleaner.

I've got several paintings out in my shed that I'm never going to show to anybody. Someday I'll remove the paint with oven cleaner and do another painting on them.

  • I have recycled some canvasses, yes. I'll have to try the oven cleaner, our oven is self cleaning so I don't have any on hand. I always used a paint scraper and got as much as I could off, but it's never the same as a brand new smooth canvas! I think I might have a painting or two out in my shed as well.

  • Hello PandawdyBob, Would you please explain to me what the process is for the oven cleaner? It will dissolve the oil, right? Which brand is the best? How many times can you use this process and still have a useable canvass? Could it be a step by step instruction?

Never heard of it but will try it.

I have been searching for a "how to reuse the canvas!" I am just a beginner, practicing on canvases- if I know how to save and reuse them- I will feel free to practice to my heart's content! :)

  • Great lesson! Beautiful painting!

P.S. Bring back the acrylic lessons..Thanks.

  • Thanks but I'll have to think about the acrylic ones, is it worth it? Doing those vids, when I think about it now, was kind of a mistake because I was just getting back into painting and everything was still rough and I had to recollect a lot of things...I'd like to retry them after I've done a couple dozen ones, and try to work some really interesting projects for you guys.
