  • I've been racing Shifter Karts and Spec Miata for over 13 years and I can say your drivers definitely know what they're doing. The car however seems like a handful. The car seems to want to understeer upon corner entry and then the driver finds himself lifting midcorner and that causes the car to oversteer upon mid- and exit. It looks to me that you guys should try to soften up the front end that way the car doesn't understeer or "push" as much as it does. My 2 cents. Good luck!

  • @solarbox Thanks for the comment. I'm the second driver in the clip and you are right, the car was a handful. The problem for me was that the differential was made into a completely locked diff. but the suspension was not designed for it and we drove 5 laps with it before competition. Having just finished the 2011 season driving a car with totaly different caracteristics made this a interesting drive. It was very understeered and the only way I could make it turn was to abuse into oversteer.

  • Are those tires suppose to change his driving behavior? Is that the purpose? or adaptation?

If so, could he have not gone faster if he would ease the speed in & brake less?

Also, I just realized that they(drivers) use the side of the road to slow themselves down before a turn or something. I thought they were just there to indicate you're going off the road.
