I love this song!!! Here is my dance along video… Most people delete response videos… Not sure why, because in most cases they add more viewers… What the hell is wrong with people?
This is the most dynamic music act to come out of Ireland! I respect Adam Clayton as a bass guitarist with his work ethic and all. Here's to many more years of excellence! Keep rocking boys!
'Pop' was a very underrated album, and there are bands who are just now catching up with what U2 was doing in the 90's. U2 of course have moved on past this.
not a big fan of U2 (only went to the show cause of my sister, and plus i was only 12 or 13 at the time) but the show was great and we had great seats. and i love when they came out that disco lemon (still got the t-shirt with the lemon and the shopping cart)
Like it or not, at least U2 was recognizable during these years. I find it difficult to many good things about "All that You Can't Leave Behind." ("Elevation" and "Beautiful Day" were good. )
Then Bono decided that performing before 50K people did not satisfy his boundless narcissism and went on a mission to save the world. Bono is still unaware that the world was doing fine for millenia before he showed up.
And their last "Atomic" effort was easily and undoubtedly their worst.
my favorite U2 "B-Side" and cover. though the "Pop" album and tour were a disaster, this song and the remixes for the singles released were good, except for "discotheque".
this was definitely their "what were they thinking?" era, but given the current state of pop culture obsession, they were onto something back then.
"Pop" sold over 7 million copies, not exactly a "disaster", and the tour itself was unparalleled in its magnitude. So what if 40,000 people show up instead of 60,000. "Popmart" live in Mexico was one of the greatest concerts of the 90's. They were definitely on to something.
Very hot and one of my fav. shows of theirs, but this one is the hottest! I saw them front row at the pepsi center in Denver for their Elevation Tour, that was hot!
I remember the original of this. It came out around 1979. The group was known as "M Factor" if I'm not mistaken. It was a snarky comment on how the 70's were ending. From "socially conscious rock" to "pop pablum".
great talent .. very entertaining .. thanks

i think they were just about 3-4 years too early with this concept.
princess diana hadn't died yet, here was no brittney spears or paris hilton, etc.
this was more about commercialism ( hence the mcdonald's arch ) than celebrity, but it was a few years too early.

@ScrumpyJax only 40'000 went to popmart live from mexico?

I thought that tour was phenomenal, way better than their last two, and on par with Zoo TV.

U2 have done it true justice.
