wait for ion 2 they say its gona be nvidia g230m 42 shaders lol comparing to 9400m has 16 they say about 80-100% faster than 9400m.... and plus they announced they will put it wit atom 330.... so big improvement over first generation ion lol............ just hold on for 4 months..... they will bring it out

there is already an netbook with ION and the N330. And why wait for ION2? For decoding HD ION1 is enough and in games the Atom is always the limiting factor.

just buy the best netbook on the market, the 1201n.

And if you have to have the new ion 2 netbook that comes out in 3 months... just sell the 1201n on craigslist for 90% of what you paid for it and then buy the new one.

Hell, im buying a 1201n tomm on craigslist for only $400

Then when the new netbooks come out in a few months, ill just sell the 1201 for pretty much what i bought it for and get me some ion2 love.

The initial release of a netbook carrying the ion2 was announced today (feb 19). The "improvement" is not so impressive. Here are the specs of the Acer 532G: A 'High Def' LED backlit display (read 720p) with the Pine Trail Atom CPU (1.66GHz, N450), 2GB RAM, a 320GB HDD and the Nvidia Ion 2 GPU. The Windows7 performance index for this netbook is 2.3 (with the graphics index of 3.1). The asus 1201N has an overall performance index of 3.2 with the graphics index of 4.4). Yeah...keep waiting! lol

the test was correct.

The base ION 2 for 10" netbooks is less powerful than the ION. The ION 2 for 11" netbooks, 12" netbooks, and nettops is more powerful than the ION.
