This one's easy; the guy had the glasses on his face the whole time, but for the frames before he gets hit with the snowball a clean shot of his face is superimposed onto him and they uncover it once the snow clears. simple, but very well executed.

Idiots, all of you. Of course it is faked - they are burying a pair of sunglasses in a snowball and throwing it at a guys head. How are the sunglasses ever going to end up on the guys head unless it is faked? If you look very closely the face changed slightly just before he throws the snow ball.

My guess is it's a roto comp gag as planetdarwin mentioned. If you notice he stays super still prior to getting hit with the snowball to make the compositing easier... meaning he's wearing glasses the whole time. They roto out several frames of his face prior to him putting on the glasses and super-impose and track that clean face on-top of his own for the 3 seconds prior to getting hit with the snowball. It really is genius how perfectly it sells.

My guess is that the guy had his shades on the whole time and all the other guy had to do was hit him in the face. The frames of video before the hit were shopped to look like he doesn't have shades on. He's standing in front of a stop sign to make the editing easier. Nice work! It's 100% fake, The glasses aren't in the snowball when he throws it and threw simple but long animation they placed a face over with him with glasses then cut scene and put the glasses on for real so their wouldnt be allot of animation. It's nothing but a trick but still a good trick at that.

That is amazingly awesome. I love all the background chosen to make you second guess how it happen. Very nice. If I had to guess, I would say this is one of the simpler films.
