I have these with a Velodyne sub and a Elite VSX 84 receiver. I use to run 5.1 but to me I like the 2.1 sound. The rears and the center channel are in the closet. I am a recording engineer and I use these to listen to the final mix. Either you love Klipsh or you hate them. They are flat sounding and very truthful. If the sound comes out of them is bad, then the musician or the studio sucks... not the speaker.

You should get some definitive technology going in there. 7.1 should be your minimum, but perhaps 9.2. I have a best buy down by me and they have some pioneer elite receiver running 12.2 surround with definitive tech.. damn its loud and it sounds fantastic, better than anything else I think.

it's funny because i'm 14 and i'm telling you that you've just stuffed your speakers and they'll never work the same the skin on them is stretched and if you look closely at them there will be stretch marks and that means you have to replace them =)
