  • hey i have a few questions, mine WONT start i've cranked it hundreds of times. The spark plug is fine, i have the miixed fuel. The electric start thing doesent work the battery cant keep a charge any recomendations or suggestions i could use to get it started? So far this has been streesful thing i've bought.

  • that looks like a mobby

  • where can u ride these things ??????????????

  • Hi- did u need the WYK-58 HP carb kit? or just the carb itself? how does the carb improve performance? thanks.

  • Do you need a high performance carburetor to run a juice box on a goped sport G23LH, or can you just run it with a stock?

  • I your rear wheel messed up on your scooter

  • Sweet ride. They are on sale at the Scooter Net Store online. They ship right to your door for cheap.

  • When I put the old carb back on with the v stack-choke and air filter, it fires right up so I dont know if I should keep messin with it or just keep the carb the scooter came with. What do you think?

  • Hey KartMan, what is the difference between the stock carb and the walbro 58 barrel because when I received it they look exactly the same. I got it started when I got it but the next day I couldnt get it goin. I had messed with the highjet a lil the night before, but I have tried everything to get it started and I have the velocity stack and choke installed as well.

  • the main reason why i got the walbro is quality. they do look the same (except the walbro barrel has an idle air circuit which helps greatley in getting the thing to hold an idle) but there is just something different internally that makes the motor run way better

  • Hey thanks for the info Kartman, I guess i'll just have to wait till companies start gettin more large x-cans in. I think I read earlier how you were sayin that your scooter was pretty damn fast stock when you got it. Well im like 160lbs and I think its barely pushin 30 if that. Is there anyway to mess with it to make it faster while I wait for parts to come in?

  • yeah, well, do you already have the filter and velocity stack? that made a HUGE difference in the bottom end.

  • yeah man all that other stuff comes in tomorrow! the only thing I havent bought is the juice box, and the tygon fuel lines, still debatin on it!

  • Hey Kartman I dont know if you would know, but I have the same scooter and the large cc x-can is sold out everywhere. Do you know if the smaller version of the x-can with left stingers would work? If not do you think the large cc x-can with the bottom stingers would work? cuz thats the only large x-can that I could find that wasnt sold out

  • well the smaller can definatley wont work, but the bottom stinger large cc one should if you can re-locate your tank a little, or maybe get those bent silicone hoses to re-route the exhaust.

  • for the airfilter did u get the v-stack with the clutch if not what ddi u get. and how much did everything come to was the money worth it.

  • where did u get the air filter and the xcan i have the same scooter 50cc runs great but i want better preformance please respond soon thanks.

  • hey i got everything from daves motors check em out.

  • and one more thing the shipping how long did it take you?

  • o and should i get the ufo air filter or the k@n are they the same in speed or yea am lost am only 13 i can fix cars but i never delt with little 50cc's lol so ur the expert so plz rely thx

  • dude DEFINATLEY DONT GET THE UFO! theyre cheap crap and made in china (tons of air leaks). They also clog up fast and dont have a whole lot of surface area.

the kn IS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY! btw i got the 3.5" pancake model from davesmotors

  • hey how fast does ur goped go with the xcan and airfilter?

  • just the two things? idk, but i do know that the air filter AND vstack AND chocke made a HUGE difference in the low end, and it sounded cooler too. at one time i did take off the xcan and put the stock exhaust back on and there was a big difference all across the powerband. id say with the two things AND PROPER CARD TUNING, youll be at a solid 40-45 mph.

  • hey dude i got thexcan v3 big mistake it was to small so am returning it and u were right the asir filterand vstack it goes so fast and check out my vids on friday my dad drilled another hole on the muffler and its super lound on high end and idels rlly quiete so can u tell me what part number is the xcan?

  • oh yea u gotta make sure u get the x-can LARGE CC model lol. oh and left stingers too.

    davemotors # fd828

ur also gonna need the xport #fd908

look back in the previous comments on this vid or maybe my other goped vid and check out the installation precedure.

    hth

  • hey dude umm for the xcan is it the side port or the bottom port?

  • its the LEFT side stinger model

very important not to get the right or bottom stinger model.

and regular cans wont fit, it has to be the LARGE CC model.

  • dude i got a dirt dog scooter and the stem part that holds up the handle bars the welds broke off

  • were did you get the light on the scooter

  • what site do u get tires and mufflers and lights for this scooter?? write back PLZ

  • cud try ebay

  • do you think the Xtreme XG-499 is good compared to this one? cause thats the scooter im thinkin about gettin

  • how fast does this go with all your mods

  • yo what kind of gas and oil do u need for this

  • are these more durable then the scooter x dirt dog?

  • omg yes 100x better, frames especially (scooter x frames are poorly fitted and have HORRIBLE WELDS, and an undersized headset).

  • hey i just realized you cant get the xg-470 sprocket.its only got 3 holes for screws and i just noticed yours has 4

  • hey sorry it took me so long to respond to what you asked me haha.i told you to get a 35 tooth sprocket.and it dont matter what brand you get.just go to the extremescooters website and get the xg-470 sprocket.and it does do 37 cuz we clocked it.so your scooter would go extremely fast with that.

  • looks nice man, chinas ftw

  • what is that metal bar right behind the air filter and carb.

  • do you have to have the hp carb for the filter to work?

  • What did u do with the back brake?

  • eh i had to take it off because it was rubbing and i couldnt adjust it not to.

  • can u make a riding vid?

  • does it increase speed or acceloration with the ada billet lever

  • nawh, it just looks cool thats all

  • do u think i should get this or a black widow

  • the black widows are based off of a shitty scooter x - like chassis (#25 chain, poor workmaship & rough, poorly fitted joints.) so i'd have to say go with the xg. but, from what i head the black widows are supposed to have a pretty mean motor but idk.

  • Are these scooters good? im about to get one off ebay and im not sure, also, are the front shocks worth it? thanks.

  • the xg's are amazing

  • the black widows suck ass. 23-24 mph stock.. engine runs good but it wont idle.. so many parts have fallen off sence i got it i cant even name all of them, but yeah its HORRIBLE workmanship

  • I have this scooter and it is awesome!

  • does it mhave a twist throttle

  • it came with one, but i ended up replacing it with an ADA billet lever.

  • hey dude im pretty stupid for asking this but how do drum brakes work

  • does the new air filter increase the speed?

  • yea a little topend, but an assload of bottomend torque.

  • how much horse power does it have

  • im not really sure, but its plenty.

  • can the 550 take a little off road

  • definatley, as long as you dont go crazy.

it will do anything a bigfoot can, and then some.

  • hey kartman250 im looking to buy a xg-550 because it looks great it seems pretty good for stock and for a great price of 360.00 but do you think its worth it to get this or a 300.00 used regular goped? reply fast because the place i might buy the xg-550 is having a sale of free shipping that ends on the 16of july!!!!!!!

  • dude DEFINATLEY get the xg, those little sprots are worthless if u ask me. you feel EVERY little bump and in my area an average crack in the road could swallow a sport tire, and send you for a nice ride over the bars EASILY. plus, i would be afraid to ride one of those dam things in even slightly wet conditions.

the xg is by far the most versatile, and you can even take it for some light off roading.

reliability has been super i think im gettin near 500 miles and im still good.

  • ok I got a black one, anyways thanks alot for replying it will come in about eight to twelve days but im not complaining its free shipping lol thanks tho!! I cant wait!

  • also are you saying i would be able to drive the xg-550 in a some water?!? wouldnt that screw up the engine lol?

  • well, as long as you dont go crazy lol (more than 6")

o and good luck with your new scoot let me know how it works out and post some vids!!!

  • k i will i would post vids if i knew how haha

  • to be fair a used go ped is not worthless, neither is an extreme scooter, they both sell for good money on ebay, i will admit that a go ped sport ride is CRAP (i have 2) but there are other go ped models which are a lot better than the sport, like the trail ripper which is awesome (but will set you back over 1000 dollars), but then again to be fair the extreme scooters are much better value for money

  • yeah i really shouldnt have said worthless cuz really gopeds are the most reliable, the ride just isnt very comfy and the handling isnt great but yeah ur rite bigfoots and trailrippers are amazing!

id take one in a heartbeat.

  • hey allways wondered...

what does a juice box do?

  • well it says it increases low end and throttle response, but it didnt do jack shit for me, but i think it will be more noticeable with a big bore kit, so i guess ima find out soon.

  • yo one question were did u get your intake from i have an xg499 and i was wondering were u got the intake cause i really want one thx

  • nice im gettin one tommow

  • hey man ya scooter is sick ass your engine looks similar to mine but min eis only 43cc but soon i am buying a evo2x go offroading it it hmb

  • How did you get the juicebox on? I just got it today with my hp carb and the juicebox won't go on.

  • hmmm i didnt really do anthing special, it just bolted right up. you took off the stock black manifold, right?

  • yeah, i had the same problem, it is a serious pain in the ass. ur gonna need a new rear wheel and one-way bearing (sprocket hub) just call up the company, bitch to them a little (and tell them that you bought it within the warranty peiod, trust me they'll believe you, i still get free parts lol!!!) and theyll give you new shit. you just need to watch your chain tension really closely because if the chain jumps off it usually bends the weak aluminum threads on the wheel and they break

  • Hey just wonderin, did the juicebox help at all?

  • eh, sort of. im not completely sure if its worth it but im pretty sure it will really shine when i get my stuffed stroker crank and big bore...

  • What kind of muffler is that?

  • it's a tgn large cc x-can with left stingers

  • I saw this one for $499.00. you think I should just go for the $1000.00 model since it's more heavy duty when I get one. I seen your demo on the marketplace site. also do youget sweated by the cops?

  • by 1000 dollar model, i guess youre talking about the trailripper right? well, the suspension on that is far better than this, but it doesn't have as potent of a motor. and nothing has as mean of a motor as the evo's do, but thats a whole differnt thing.

this is best for all around use, and the trailripper strictly offroad.

is it worth twice the price? i dont think so. worst case throw on some trailripper tires from davesmotors.

btw the cops depend on the area

  • hey man can you go to my profile and make a mods list for my 550 please tell me were to get them too

    thanks man

  • are gopeds worth buying for $400?

  • absofuckingloutley!!!! they are a blast to ride!!!

  • have you ever had any serious problems with this scooter

  • nope, just a few minor ones and the only major ones were due to misuse & abuse or neglectful maintenace

  • hey man check out my drag scooter i am making tell me what u tink

  • does it come with a seat when you order it?

  • naw, but i think it was supposed to.

  • i have the same scooter as you, and i have been looking for parts to put on it, will you tell me some of the parts i can get for it for high performance? and where to get them?

  • u should play music or ride it i almost fell asleep

  • (response to importgopedder's comment that i accidentally cliked remove instead of reply to)

i got the 50cc pocket bike juicebox at davesmotors and it bolted up without any problems, except for the fact that you only use 2 of the 4 bolt holes in the manifold, but it doesnt hurt anything, everything still seals & lines up fine.

  • how fast does it go when its stock and is it reliable

  • it did about 40 stock

  • how is it when you get it stock

  • WAY better than i expected! an absoulute torque monster! and the stock quiet hum was very pleasing to the ears. you just need to keep EXCELLENT maitenance on it, and CHECK EVERYTHING before each ride (yeah i know, sounds like a manual or something rite? but seriously problems will sneak up on ya once its too late)

DEFINATLEY would and probably will buy another!

  • how is that scooter? im thinking to buy it.

  • definatley the best buy for the price, but you must be willing to do some work to it to make it reliable.

  • hey just wondering wen you gonnna upload a fly buy and was wondering if v stack with choke and air filter make it go faster and does it add any more ccs

  • synthetic oil siezes engines DONT USE IT it already happened to me

  • sorry again, but wat filter is that too? is there a good site to find all this stuff

  • definatley the best place to go is davesmotors, my filter is a k&n 3.5" pancake style, the choke is ada and the stack is ddm brand

    hope this helps!

  • what do you mean by synthetic oil? not just plain synthetic motor oil i hope!! its designed for mixing right? ne way i run 50:1 but thats a little lean 32:1 is wayy to rich youll clog an exhaust port haha id say opt for 40:1

  • What parts actually made it faster?

  • suprisingly, 50$ of intake parts made a BIG ASS difference in the low end range. they also gave it a very nice sound. the xcan/xport made the thing way meaner overall. i didnt really notice it at first but one day i tossed my old pipe on cuz i wuz gonna cruise around a little and i figured the quieter i am the better my chances were of NOT having to see a cop that day lol. but once i drove it it was like crap all over the powerband without the xcan. id say skip the juicebox tho.

    hope this helps

  • definatley, as soon as its warmer tho

  • i have 3 questions, where did u get ur filter, where di you get your vstack and choke, and how fast does it now go?

  • howdy,

all my parts are from davesmotors and im running about 50 now

  • Did this cooter break down a lot when it was stock.

  • yea quite alot, but now it is reliable since i went thru the whole thing and any poorly engineered parts were replaced with good american ones, strengthened with gussets, or custom machined

so in the end, it works out really nice and REALLY fast!

  • How much would it cost to fix it up right becasue i was thinkin bought getting that scooter sice its eltric start.

  • well, i corrected things as they broke, but id say overall it was about $50 bucks to get it really solid, $300 bucks to get it stupid fast (its really plenty fast stock, but it doesnt hurt to get a better filter setup, the stock one is restrictive.) also, alot of things can hold up fine as they are as long as you MAINTAIN THEM!!! (as i did not at first, believe me, i learned!) ALWAYS check/adjust your : headset, rear sprocket/chain tension, and tank mounts. replace the fuel lines with tygon too.

  • If you look at Daves website under the 49cc pocket bike performance and stock parts you will see the transmission is the same as on the 550.They have a few gears and also a few performance upgrades like a ported head kit that looks the same as ours. When I am done modding the GSR 46 I will try this stuff for the 550.I will keep you informed.

  • hey man good luck with that, these things can be real beasts for thier size, and yes please do keep me informed!

  • i have no spark on mine =(((

  • check your kill wires, mine got chewed up and were grounding out to my frame, confused the crap outta me for a while but once i found the problem it was perfect.

    hope this helps

  • oo thanks alot so i should follow my kill switch?

and this might lead to the problem?

    - do u know where kill wires are supposed to go to??

    thanks so much!!

  • yes, follow your kill wire and also look for the loom of two wires and white connector underneath the motor, thats where i had my problem.

  • Hey Kartman.I am trying to figure which front and rear sprockets would fit the 550.The rear sprocket looks like a typical go ped 4 bolt pattern but the front Im not sure.Did you change the gears? If so do you remember what the front was? With the stock gears I am up to 39 MPH with a few engine mods.I want the 550 to keep up with my go ped gsr46 at 46 mph.

  • i still got the stock gearing on mine, but im pretty sure that dave's black magic rears fit and if you look on some chinese pocketbike places you can find different tooth count fronts, GOOD LUCK finding a chain in the different size! my suggestion would be a few more engine mods, 46 is completely obtainable with stock gearing.

  • Where is the back brake?

  • Where did you buy that muffler?

  • also dave's. it was the "large cc" model with left side stingers, but i had to do some minor mods to make it fit (drill out holes a little in can & x port, diffrent hardware, also had to round corners on one bolt & cut slot for screwdriver)

  • Where did u get a trigger throttle?

  • i found it on davesmotors, i think it was the ada model

  • Thanks! Twist throttles SUCK.

  • thats for sure!!!

  • Hey Kartman. How did you get the front suspension to work?Ive had mine for more than year now and the suspension never worked. And its not besause i am too light.I am 230 lbs.

  • well mine was really stiff when i first got it and it took about 2.5 hours to work it out smooth. and i mean REALLY smooth. It was very impressive, it was like riding on your bed lol. after a while your barley noticed it and it didnt seem to have much rebound control. what i recomend is making sure that nothings binding up and you might want to bounce around on the deck a little bit to see if its compressing. be careful, dont jump too hard you can bend the front end and make the bearings sloppy.

  • ok thanks

  • hey i just got the same one in august for my birthday and i just saved up enough to start modifying it. i just got an ada v-stack, choke, and air filter and i dont know what to get next and where to get it. i looked on davesmotors and i cant find anything that matches up. i was also wondering where u got the top of the handle bars cuz i hate the twist throttle. if u can help me out thatd be great. thanks alot

  • hey,

i think the best bang 4 ur buck would be the xcan and xport, go on teamgonads website nd look around they should have 1 listed 4 "chinese pocketbikes" or actually i think they call it the "large cc" model. it requires some simple drilling of the holes to allow the bolts to fit, but its soft aluminum and its a breeeze. make sure to get the xport too, you will need it to clear the side of the motor. the throttle control is just a universal (myabe ada?) frome dave's

    good luck

  • Hey

Does that model handle good off road?

coz i was thinking about getting one similar to that

    Cheers.

  • suprisingly its alot of fun off road and is a blast on light quad trails. it has penty of torque to deal with hills, etc. and the fork takes up bumps better than youd expect it to. (ive done about 20 over root patches on my town pipeline and its scary as hell but it held its footing well) turns are great and its fun, but not very swift in the mud. at high speed on dirt its just like road; handling is excellent. unfortunatley, you break parts here and there - but thats what makes it fun!

  • do you think you could tell me the dimensions of the filter or the internet link of where you got your K&N cause i noticed that it is a real K&N and not a K&N "style" filter and i want 1 for my scooter (xg-505 - same engine as xg-550)- thanks!

  • well i got a 3.5" pancake style and it fits great, but as far as im concerned just about anything will fit theres lots of room except try to keep it short cuz sometimes ur leg rubs up against it

  • where can i buy it?

  • well idk of an actual store yet, but you can look around on ebay and theres tons of online reatilers

  • OMG can u plz tell me wat the juicbox does cause ive been thinkin bout gettin one but i dont know wat size orwat it does or anything

  • well to tell ya the truth it didnt do much for me. maybe a little throttle response like it said but not much else. if u got an evo it should have that fancy active motor on it so maybe it will take to it better but idk.

  • ya i got an evo

    ok well thanx alot man

  • u said u had a 44 tooth sprocket?get a 35 tooth one and youll go MUCH faster.i dont hav a 550 but i hav a 499.the 499 used to go faster than my friends scooterx dirtdog.the dirtdog went 20mph and my 499 does bout 28-32mph.now id say his scooter does bout 37mph since he changed his sprockets and chain.o ya:front sproket=20tooth;chain=#35-w/38 or 40 links.hope this helps

  • hey man thanks! wat kinda sprocket should i get? are the ddm black magics any good?

  • hey kartmad u should check out my scootere tell me wat u think hmb

  • how loud is the scooter?

  • well, not too loud but alot louder than stock and not such a deep tone

  • hi cartman i cant wate 4 xmas i am getting the same 1 in black. And were did you get the light on the front its cool, and mind dosen't come with it.......

  • well i just had that laying around the place, i think it was for a bike. i do remember tho that it had a 6v bulb in it originally and once i revved the motor (i spliced the lead right into the one coming off of the alternator)it blew right away so i had to fin a 12 or maybe 14.4v bulb (a little higher because it was before the regulator/rectifier)

  • unfortunatly i busted it off about a week ago after a bad endo :(

  • ok ty very much!

  • i just put on my x-can and filter/stack and it wouldnt start up at all then i took off the filter and put on the stock one and it started right up. you have this problem or know what i could do?

  • did u get the choke with the vstak nd filter?

  • nope no choke.

  • yep thats ur problem

  • what?

  • yea he needs a choke (look on davesmotors it should only be a couple bucks)

  • Hey KartMan.Nice.I got the same one last year.I only did the carb, stack, and filter also from Daves.Since I got it I have had no problems with anything breaking and I am 6'2" and 230 lbs.I used a Garmin bicycle GPS and clocked the speed at 39 mph.You should change the brake levers to V-brake levers. The thing stops on a dime.Maybe next I will try your same mods.

  • sweet man, make some vids! and 39, thats REALLY good for just a filter and stack! for the brakes, i want to change them to hayes hydraulic bike brakes (like the ones available for the evos) cuz mine stops alright, but it constantly eats pads and needs adjusting, i like the idea of the v brake levers i have them in my bike and they are nice n solid

  • nice

  • but nice air filter and x can

  • looks chinese ahhahahahah

  • yep, but now its MUCH more reliable as i replaced all of the poorly engineered communist designed parts with heavy duty or completely custom parts

  • welp, ive got the one for "49cc pocketbikes" but my original manifold was 4-bolt, the new one is 2, but they are diagonal from eachother and the spacing is the same, so it works just fine with 2 bolts (no leaks)

  • yea i almost bought a juice box but wasnt sure exactly what one kart has on there. im also curious to what the exact model is that hes got on there

  • I think i am going to get that scooter. Either that or the XG 505.

  • well, ive got a stock 44tooth, im pretty sure yours should too, and i noticed some serious torque gains (i didnt at first, but a while back i put my stock can back on just for some kicks, and after that i REALLY appreciated the xcan)

  • ok thanks man appreciate it. and i also noticed that it feels like my motor is spinning faster then the wheel is turning and it does have a rather large sprocket. did you do any modifications to yours to get more power and speed. & did you notice alot out of your x-can?

  • (by "port" i mean the xport, not the motor port)

  • I then "offset bored" the can and port for proper fit and alignment (it will take some messing around with to get it right, but a good titanium drill will cut the soft billit easily.) because the motor and xcan is a slightly different spacing.

    hope this helps

  • yes, the xcan screws are too small, i took my stock ones and went to home depot and matched the thread size (something metric) and got two appropriate length bolts to fit the can and port (idk if u have a port). I then rounded one hex head down smaller and cut a small slot in it for a flat screwdriver (allows clearance on the right side bolt), and i left the other one alone.

  • how did you get your xcan to fit??? i bought the exact same one the v2 with left stingers and the screws for the xcan are way too small.

  • wow, i just bought a goped frame/motor to go with the parts i have and had i known you could do so many things with this scooter i would have just bought it. i had been looking at one like ures for a while but i didnt know if you could get parts. good buy
