The Folk Implosion really set the bar high for original OST with this song. Never have I heard a song that better fit the movie, and more importantly the scene at hand. I actually wrote a 3 page paper about how drastically this movie impacted my life, and this song was a huge reason. They should really do more OST's, but I don't think they are together anymore.

I'll recommend two artists in the sound track, Daniel Johnston and Slint. Sebadoh, Daniel Johnston, Guided by Voices, Neutral Milk Hotel, Elliot Smith and Pavement are among the more renowned lo-fi bands. Other recommendations: Bibio, Why?, Six Organs of Admittance, White Hinterland, Akron/Family

I'm on my porch right now, kind of lit, listing to this song. And it reminds me of when, as a high school sophomore 11 years ago, I found a senior who had this soundtrack. I had watched Kids before in 6th grade; had just come to /really/ know Folk Implosion. And on the days he drove us (me + underclass friends) with him to band camp, we'd play this.

Things weren't better then.

Just simpler.
